    This mission has got me stumped...

    Hey guys,

    This doesn't happen often anymore, but I'm really stuck on this one. I'm trying to build a mission that emulates this:

    The way I have it set up is that it is a random chance scenario.

    Scenario I is a standard attack on Foscani aerodrome, which are the Waypoints 1-9, as well as the following entries...

    Waypoint 6 - MG (Mission goal)
    Waypoint 6 - HG (Hidden goal)
    Waypoint 6 - EW (Enable warp)
    Waypoint 6 - PG / EW (Partial goal - Enable warp)
    Out of ammo / No targets or kills (Mission failure)

    What's got me completely stumped is how to make the rescue mission work. I have the P-38 object in a field halfway between the Ziliesta and Foscani airfields with an area marker over it. Two German soldiers are advancing on the plane, which gives you about 13 minutes from the radio message to the point where the Germans reach Lieutenant Willsie's P-38.

    I can land next to the P-38 and I have a trigger for the speed to be zero in the area marker, but I can't get the messages to show up letting you know that the pilot has been rescued. After you rescue the pilot, you fly straight to Piryatin.

    I also tried manually editing the 2nd alternate waypoint so that it is the same height as the P-38 on the ground...93 feet. This didn't work either.

    Hello again,

    Never mind, I fixed it. It turns out the area trigger was set wrong...it needed to be "inside," not "enters."

    Everything else was set up correctly. :redf:

    I've never quite mastered that "Inside-Enters-Outside-Exits" for the Action Area either.

    Reminds me of the first time my first wife got pregnant. I had tried to use condoms before but they just kept slipping right off. I finally found a store that sells a pack called "the muy pequeno" whatever that means.
