    Wedding Rings

Just a couple from a friend's wedding yesterday.
I just can't keep from attacking those flowers! Much easier subjects to wrangle than people are! :d

I tried to vignette & mat out a poor background choice....

    An unmolested shot:

I like the colors and contrast of the "molested" shot. However the sharpening might be a little too much.

Did you shoot the rest of the wedding? If so, would you mind sharing more? :ernae:

EDIT: I decided to mess around with it for a little bit. Dunno if you like the effect though. My processing skills need some work. :\

Yes, I did oversharpen that one...plus they were shot in JPEG instead of RAW.
I just punched the smart sharpen button instead of using my usual 15-20%/1px usharp mask. Took a closer look at the Smart Sharpen settings this morning and I see it's @ 30% plus whatever other features it has.
This was just a quick-n-dirty job (with a few beers in me I might add) to see if I could hide a couple things behind the mat. I will be redoing it with more attention to detail and printing/framing it up for a wedding present for the couple.

Those lilies were real stinkers. They decided to open up the day after the wedding, and the photographer (the bride's step-sister) was already gone so I did a few shots back at the house.

A resounding NO on the pro weddings!
I am not a very good people shooter, the one aspect that I've never really practiced at. But I did do some candids of the ceremony and reception/dance.
The groom is a co-worker of mine and I was just shooting for the fun of it.

I'll post a few more once I get them processed out.

I think that first shot is very good, of course I am just an untrained observer but I like it.

Love the final work Mike, though I have long burned out taking wedding and wedding related photos. Did that for part of a living way back when (35-mm days). About the same over posed baby photos, but I shall always shoot a candid infant or child photo. There is an innocence in their candid poses that is lost in adolescence and adulthood.
