Peculiar issue with ETO UI

For some unexplained reason, I've now noticed a peculiar issue with the UI in ETO. After a QC mission - on occasions and only with certain locations - after quitting, I get a peculiar UI. For example - and this is only an example - I will have completed a mission where the location is one of the Berlin airfields. Instead of returning to an airfield, the chosen aircraft is located on a carrier. Similarly, after some quick combat over some of the Spanish airfields, after quitting, the aircraft is flying over an ocean. (I don't know where.)

Not a huge issue, but has anyone experienced this before and is it a problem waiting to happen?
