    Video card question

I would like to know which of my video cards works better with fsx. The cards I have are a asus 4850 and a evga 8800gt. The specs for both cards say 512mb. I am using a foxcon p45a moterboard along with 4gigs of memory and a e8500 cpu. I have been reading on the internet that a lot of fsx users like nivda over radeon. Vista 64bit is my os.

The ATI 4850 and 8800GT are just about even up on speed. You may experience more color and clarity with the ATI, with the 8800GT with Nhancer (you must use nHancer) you will experience less tearing of fine lines (also known as jaggies). ATI's tearing is noticeable more in the cockpit on certain models. I have used both and like both. My wife uses an HIS ATI 4850OC and I do love the colors the ATI produces. But in FSX I prefer the Nvidia.
Remember I said I prefer...it is probably split down the middle in the community at large. You would have to tear Harleyman's ATI card out of his cold dead hands. LOL

Dual GPU's and dual video cards just don't seem to do much for most flight sims. I've been real happy with my 8800GT - 512MB. Mine is from Zotac and it was a factory overclocked version.
My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

If you need to fine tune it go to Nick N's site at simviation he has a full section of how to set up the GTX470/480. Awesome video card!!!! That will be my Christmas present to me some day! I'm just happy I get to play with them at TechCorp!

I'm wondering how the GTX 460will run FSX. Im looking at the Palit 1GB overclocked model.
