    Question New York Graphics

    Hello
I have a problem in New York with graphics.
At a low position in the menu fsx scenery, etc.
At LaGuardia Airport and JFK all peaks in the scenery frame 3.5 or 5
    And the graphics card crash.
    NVIDA 9400 GT 1 GB
    4gb ram on vista 32
    I've re-installed fsx.
    But that does not help.
Is there anyone who also has the problem with new york Graphics?

    Thank You
    Coola

New York is one of the biggest and mostly detailled cities in the game. The airport is also one of the biggest ones with a lot of AI traffic.
The impact on the performance is absolutely terrible there. I think your computer is not able to handle it with your current settings/tweaks.

Sorry to hear about the problem, but 128 bit interface cards do not do very well in FSX at all. Even if it has 1GB of VRAM it will not do all that well. FSX requires BIG bandwidth and lots of CPU power to do really well.

Yep, you're simply experiencing what 90% of the FSX Flight Sim world experiences every day. You can try turning down your graphics sliders, also the AI sliders for both active aircraft (Commercial and GA as well as Airport Vehicles), that may help some, but if you can get above 10fps even after that you're doing good.:salute:

Yup...Close your eyes as you fly over..you'll never notice the crash...

But , yes, pull your sliders back some, and get a 256 bit V Card will also help !

There is MUCH MORE to New York than that stinking city!! Try upstate in the ADK park, or Western New York Finger Lakes!! The city is not New York and should be floated into the ocean and sunk along with Albany!
If government was the answer, it was a stupid question!
