    A little more....

    What I used on the AS ver...adjusted for this one.....

    // AB effects...with 3 stage burner toggle.
    light.6 = 3, -25.00, -2.70, -2.15, JAFO_MIG25AB_St0 // 20% throttle burner
    light.7 = 2, -25.00, -2.70, -2.15, JAFO_MIG25AB_St1 // 40% throttle burner
    light.8 = 1, -28.50, -2.70, -2.15, JAFO_MIG25AB_St2 // 60% throttle burner
    light.9 = 9, -29.00, -2.70, -2.15, JAFO_MIG25AB_St3_flamecore // 90% AB inner flame
    light.10 = 9, -29.00, -2.70, -2.15, JAFO_MIG25AB_St3_Flame // 90% AB outer flame
    light.11 = 6, -25.00, 2.70, -2.15, JAFO_MIG25AB_St0 // 20% throttle burner
    light.12 = 2, -25.00, 2.70, -2.15, JAFO_MIG25AB_St1 // 40% throttle burner
    light.13 = 1, -28.50, 2.70, -2.15, JAFO_MIG25AB_St2 // 60% throttle burner
    light.14 = 9, -29.00, 2.70, -2.15, JAFO_MIG25AB_St3_flamecore // 90% AB inner flame
    light.15 = 9, -29.00, 2.70, -2.15, JAFO_MIG25AB_St3_Flame // 90% AB outer flame

    wilycoyote4, try changing your autothrottle_max_rpm=90.000 to a rpm based on 10% less than the rpm in the engine setting, not sure if autothrottle_max_rpm=90.000 which is 90% of max RPM still works in FSX I found often on autopilot it reduced so much a aircraft would not fly, is FSX reading 90.000 as 90 rpm ??? changing to a bit less than the max engine rpm worked.

    I stand corrected: my previous post was wrong.

    The AP seems ok but the autothrottle_max_rpm=90.000 may be limiting speed???

    Brakes can be set to a higher value of say 0.95, or use very long runways. I'll try different settings. The MiG-25 lands fast and is heavy even with low fuel and no payload.

    Edit---another flight--
    Mach 3 at 53,000 feet using the AP and a speed setting KIAS very high. I don;t know if a real Foxbat would fly so fast at that altitude, probably higher.

    Yesterday I was in Karaganda Kazahstan and saw a whole wing of Mig 25's lined up on the ramp. All looking to be in a fair state of readiness, not one dead Russian parts bird visible on the field.

    Cheers: T

    Hey - a pleasant surprise to see you comment on this subject! I've been curious about this model (another I've not been able to fully explore yet ...) - was wondering about the weirdness in the flight model, so I'll have to try this fix ...

    Thanks - your tips have been a great help along the way ....

    ps - It's raining MiGs, these days it seems ... Wife and kids are out tonight - think I'll make perogies for dinner and have a shot of vodka in toast to Mikhail and Artem's prodigous designs ...

    Any chance of an armed ver of the existing model a-la the Alphasim ver?
    A couple of R40-Rs and a couple of R40-Ts would make those hardpoints look less lonely...

    VERY NICE! Will it be placeable with AIcarriers?

    Will you do the YAK-38 after that, please?

    What do you think how long it will take since you have finished it? I hope that you put static helis and YAK's on it?!

    Which YAK-38 is that?

    If anybody wants to convert my models and make them suitable for AI Carriers, steerable ships etc then give me a shout. I have all models ready and FSX native so I just need some help with the final stuff. These were going to be a payware relase but I do not have time with the other stuff that I am doing to commit so they will be freeware.
    Some images can be found at www.mark-harper.co.uk
    (Russian ships)
    They have been sitting on my hard drive for 3 years or more so time to sweep out the old and bring in the new. Also it is very very likely that the Eagle will also be freeware.
    A donation would be nice but totally not required. You can't protect scenery files from the bit torrent pirates so I might as well get rid of them for free. It is the return from payware projects that keep developers alive for complex FSX native models so please think about that.
    Because of my other work though and these will be free please please give me a bit of space and no gripes.
    Also the Kuznetsov is ready for FSX along with the subs and escorts.
    Right now where is me Vodka

    FSDSMAN, my underwear goes wet! So nice the 2shots on that website!

    Someone must finish this for us...

    Sylvian
    ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

    @hadhart: Ok, is that this Yak-141 which could be found here - http://www.simviation.com/simviation/?ID=64

    Hm, couldn't do someone the YAK-38 for FSX new?

  19. #69
    It/they do not need to be finished - they are and have been for over 3 years. They just need to be imported and configured for AI Carriers etc. I will get Bill to test if he has time then upload them as Mdl files somewhere.

    Dose anyone have a link to the most upto date version of the Mig-25?

    FSDSMAN is the Flanker B ready for FSX as a flyable aircraft?

    The mig-25 is right here on SOH. I don't mean to be rude or anything, and yet I do believe searching the library takes about the same amount of time as asking for a link.
