    It looks better for sure
Don't be afraid to push some more polys into it, if you take a look at some other freeware aircrafts, they have smooth shapes without impacting the performance.

i think there's something missing or a little bit too small.

I know there was different variants - and I don't know which one these shots are from ... but that scope doesn't seem to feature in any Foxbat cockpit shots I have seen ... again, maybe just a different variant ...

I am so thrilled someone is doing the wonderful Foxbat - this will be superb. Great work!

Your pics seem to show the -R or -RB.

The basic interceptor needs a scope for the radar, after all.

Are you applying for the role as backup modeler?

If so, I totally support it!
Nothing better than melting your engines at mach 3.2 at 70000ft while watching a gogeous sunrise in a MiG-25.

well i-m going to continue doing kikka after i finnish with the mig25...but if someone wants to make it as well, it'd be okay... :mixedsmi:

    Hadhart,

Just had a minute to take the MiG-25 for a quick flight. AWESOME plane! Thanks so much for making it. The exterior, cockpit, flight model... All top-notch!

Can't wait till I have a bit more time to fly it and can defect to Japan in it.

    I downloaded it yesterday.
The external model is awesome, fantastic job !! :ernae:
I don't like the virtual cockpit, though.

    Not bad at all!! :ernae:

The only 'problem' I've had is the topspeed; anyone pushed it beyond mach 1.5 in level flight? Even in a steep dive I only reached mach 1.6.

    Hadhart,

I hope you don't mind, but I applied the fix to the original upload, made a notation in the file package, and deleted the fix. The original upload now contains the revised files.

Thanks Had - very good news. Thanks for the model and the fix. Can't wait to get back to my pc - this one is one I'm very eager to try.

    Best regards,

About Mach 2.8 at 65,000 feet is now possible but control is very touchy. I have no afterburners visible.
It's a good work, an FSX native, and such high speed and high altitude aircraft are uncommon.
I hope more work will be done to improve it.

Thank you, it's a very nice aircraft.

BTW can someone help to finish a MiG-31 (gmax) model as a flyable freeware?

    Sorry for asking it here...

After a flight using AP set at alt 60,400 the Foxbat got over M2.1 but no faster unless in a dive. Pilot control and level flight at about 53,000 feet reached M2.8+ by my effort.

I stand corrected: my previous post was wrong.

The AP seems ok but the autothrottle_max_rpm=90.000 may be limiting speed???

Brakes can be set to a higher value of say 0.95, or use very long runways. I'll try different settings. The MiG-25 lands fast and is heavy even with low fuel and no payload.

    Edit---another flight--
Mach 3 at 53,000 feet using the AP and a speed setting KIAS very high. I don;t know if a real Foxbat would fly so fast at that altitude, probably higher.

Great to see a new Foxbat ver available

If only it were armed.....empty pylons look....empty...

Added 'tweaks' I'd fiddled with for the Alphasim ver....can coax this one to mach3.2 [the speed they bend their engines at]....skin temp [if legitimate] would be mildly problematic though.

If the bump were a little more conservative....the canopy frame in 3D a little more 'lean' and some AtoA on the pylons I'd happily foot the bill for the mods...
