How does one modify the in-game ATC frequency? Billings Logan International's tower frequency is not 124.2 anymore; its changed to 127.2.
Is this in an easily user editable file, like a cfg file?
You can get Airport Design Editor and change the freq. Freeware.
While on the subject, a little trivia.
Why is it that most ground control freqencies are 121.70?
I wouldn't say most are 121.7...
Ours is 121.9 - I would say most gnd freqs start with 121 MHz

Hi you first download ADE, airport design editor, then you install it, then extract the default bgl, then you view radio frequences, change the one you want, save the file, recomplie it and place it in the addon scenery/scenery folder and it will overide the default.
Its that simple
Intel 4790K @ 4.8GHz , 16 Gig Cas 10 2100 MHz ram, Nvidia GTX 970, 4Gig Video, Windows 7 64 Bit, Gigabyte GA Z87X-UD3H
The main reason for a lot of "common" ground freqs like 121.70, 121.90 etc is interference. For example an enroute freq used up to 45000ft cant be used by another ATC centre for the same service for over 500nm because the airbourne elements signal can reach over 250nms at high levels.
Again from an ICAO document the distance separating two tower freqs is down to 125nm. For ground only that could be even less as they have no airbourne element. One I know of is Gatwick and Stansted who share 121.95 for ground use only and they are certainly closer than 125nm.
