WOW! Mirage, extremely fast and dramatic stuff! Watched in on Youtube in fullscreen and I'm speechless.

Naismith, Focke Wulf gave all their creations factory-internal bird nicknames.
The Fw190A was the "Würger" what translates into English like "butcher bird" or "shrike".

You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.

What else do you call a fighter plane with four 20mm cannons, two machine guns, and an insane roll rate that can give an early Spitfire Pilot nightmares?
Take my love, take my land / Take me where I cannot stand, I don't care, I'm still free / You can't take the sky from me.

Take me out to the black / Tell 'em I ain't comin' back.

Thank you everyone ! I am glad you enjoyed the video as much as I enjoy flying this bird.:ernae:

HERE is a wiki link to the Butcherbird. (hence the name "Cracticus" I gave to the FW190 in my video.)

We can complain about Il2 defects or omissions, but after a quick reality check with the competitors' products we go back to father Oleg as a bunch of prodigal sons.

Too bad you can't get the real one over here to the States Mirage. I think the only flying WWII 190s are in Europe somewhere. I know of an event that would LOVE to have it attend. Check the MAAM link in my Sig.

Are you refering to the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum 20th anniversary, WWII weekend, a gathering of warbirds, June 4-5-6, 2010 ?
You're right, I would certainly love to be there. There are plenty of warbirds pictures on the MAAM website! Thanks. :ernae:

Beautiful video Mirage_III. Is the music from the Carmina Burana?

    Cheers,
    Huub

    Hello Huub, Thank you!
The music is from Audiomachine. The title is - Guardians At The Gate -.
It seems they release music to professional only, used for movie trailers!

    Because it butchered even B-17s.

The 109 needed gun pods for that, the 190 didn't.

Thank You David! I had the pleasure to read your FW190 late variants review today! It is just great and accurate! Excellent guide :ernae:
Thanks peter12213! I have been flying this beauty several hours a day for 3 weeks now! I have had some practice on landing! I must say it is hard to land without bouncing but with a little practice, it becomes a little bit easier providing one doesn't try to make a short field landing! (I use my Lysander for short fields!)
    Cheers !

Cracking video Mirage. I have already passed the link on to a couple of friends. Beautiful model too, I love flying it but have yet to achieve a landing quite as smooth as yours.

Thank you Raptor ! I keep training/practicing again and again to be able to land properly without bouncing endlessly on the strip !
The model is definitely one of the most beautiful FSX warbird. :ernae:
