Don't know if I have the latest version.

Seemed to work okay, but it had trouble recognizing I had Real Weather set for the flight.
Took Duenna a few minutes to sort that out, is that normal?

Are you running the default Jepp Weather or an add on?

It seems that FSX stores previous weather settings in the CFG file and Duenna is looking at those settings.

You have two records above. Not sure why it shows two records but set your default flight to Real World Weather w/ 15 min updates.

One thing I try to do is only change the weather type once I have loaded the simulation. I think this will keep the cfg file correct but I have not extensively tested this theory.

The duenna program stores the jpg image in a folder called output/{date}

Same with the txt file.

My path is C:\FS_Programs\RTW-Duenna\OUTPUT\2009-12-07

Other than the Weather issue looks good.

I use Active Sky Advanced, and I would prefer to use that if possible.
It was asking for the Jepp in the error pop-ups so I saved my default start with that.
I restarted FSX numerous times, gave up, then it seem to connect on it's own.

Oh that's right about the picture. Been a while since I used Duenna, thanks for the reminder.

Hmmm.. let me try this without going back thru forum threads.

It's FSX --which stores the 'last flight' info differently than FS9. Yes, it works best if the default flight is Real World Wx +15 and then start the sim with the default flight and/or don't start Duenna until all else is ready to go. The issue of multiple restarts before Duenna catches on is not uncommon - from what I remember it sometimes takes a couple of tries to get it to read a 'clean start' - which is why a lot of us reboot the sim before a race leg too.

Try a couple more in the next day or two and if there's still an unresolved issue we'll dig deeper. I think there are some references in a couple of threads here if anyone wants to do the research.

As far as Active Sky is concerned it's currently 'legal' but there are questions with all the aftermarket wx progs. - some are how it reads/shows the wx and some with how you can "cheat" to improve what you get compared to everyone else so it's had some debate. However, as I understand it, you CAN use the Active Sky visuals with just Jepp wx data if you like the pretty clouds, etc. Third point is that if AS and Jepp are showing different data, it can be difficult to accurately give/receive wx reports from a team member. There will be ongoing discussions on this 'upstairs'
