I'll say it again, SOH is the best flight simulation forum and online community.
Now we need to make it better with an online multiplayer server.
I'd say we're in pretty good shape right now. Somebody should do a scientific study of the overall mood of forums at various times. I think you could learn a lot about the global psyche, as the bad (and good) moods seem to come in waves. Whatever. I'm just happy we all seem to be content at the moment.
Really, because this is my place of refuge. It seems everyone here is always in a good mood. All the other forums, I won't name names, seem like a flame fest. Everyone here is always eager to help and very rarely see any disputes.Originally Posted by d0mokun

I was just implying that someone who's taking the internet a bit too seriously might find this picture less than optimal.
Still, a pic of a squad of imperial Stormtroopers might've worked better.

It does appear the forum discussions have mellowed which IMHO does make SOH more of a friendlier place.
But it would not take much for the forums to slide down again. The mention of one vendor in particular and it products cause such polarization that after about 3 pages of comments and diatribes the SOH staff would have to step in and shut the thread down.
Let us hope that this doesn't happen. In my short time here I have seen a number of talented people who have directly contributed to the hobby leave because of the attacks.
