well, that wasnt bad considering... 24 hours ago I was basking in the Mexican sun (+27C), fighting off the effects of some bad tuna, flew home (WHY?????) to MINUS 27C and a foot of snow, fired up the computer to see if it still worked and .. a safe flight...

Now for the first coffee and food in 30 hours

The baton is free at EKVG.

A bit later than I expected - I had to take a phone call when I was setting up on approach, so I paused it for about 5 mins.

An interesting approach it was too - runway 13 has an offset ILS, which made me think there might be a huge mountain in the way. And there was!!

uh huh! Vagar is an interesting place.. esp. when there's no alternate. Wx can get ugly and the approach then gets to be a challenge

Back in a few and if no one jumps in I'll go on, but it's open to all

I would, but kids & dog need dealing with, and Im starving too. I was looking at EKVG-EGQS-ENZV next ,a bit further south but Lossiemouth has a long runway & Im sure is well lit as an RAF base(havent checked in-sim though) & then Stavanger is a long runway as well-avoids a tiny lump of rock in the middle of the N Sea(EGPW,only 2000 ft runway!) ,in the dark & no doubt with bad Wx. although you will be able to do it Rob,I know I cant!!
