    Fokker D.XXI

    Hi,

didn't forgot about this little fellow, so here is a picture to show the current status of the project. Exterior is almost finished, still need to put on the lights and some other small stuff.

    WooHoo!!

For good info about the colours, I would recommend this book:
    http://www.dutchprofile.nl/profile.php?id=30

I do not have this one yet, but I did get the one about the T.V and I plan to get a few more volumes in the near future!

(Speaking of the T.V: I sure hope it is on someone's to-do list (A D.XXIII would be great too!))

Very nice! Almost looks like that little French fighter plane, and a air racer.

've got both books as well as the french book Le Fokker D.21 with even better color information about the different D21 variations.

(Regarding the T.V it is still on the list, started working on it some years ago, but stopped cause P.Straney was working on one. Don't know about the statusof that project.Maybe the next in line.)

As far as I know Paul's T.V, that is the redoing of your model, will not be finished in a very near future. From what I've seen it is still in an early stage. Perhaps he has too many projects on his plate? There were also some family matters keeping Paul from spending time on his hobby.

The French book will most probably become the standard work about the Fokker D-XXI. However I think the information about the colours on the Dutch D-XXI in the Dutch profile by Frits Fedessen is better.

Wim, do you intend to do a pre-1939 version without antenna mast and gun sight AND a 1940 version with antenne and gun sight?

    Cheers,
    Huub

Well, I'm sure it's an excellent book Wim, and I did have French in school. Too bad I sucked at it.

    Ferry,

When this book was published the writer was considering a Dutch translation (only the text) in pdf format when there were enough sales in the Netherlands.

Although I think there are quite some copies sold, I never heard anything about this anymore.

Sorry to go (slightly) OT, but all the Dutchies here might find this interesting (maybe you already know this):

    This is slightly more OT:

    Wim-
If the D.XXI turns out as nice as your other Fokkers, I'm sure it will be a sweet piece of work...
I also would like to second Ferry's comment about someday maybe seeing a D.XIII- it would be an interesting addition as well!

Mike, Ferry mentioned a D.XXIII. But off course a D.XIII would be nice too!

    Hi all,

what a bad timing for this thread to show up as i suffered from a major disk crash last week.
At this moment i'am busy to salvage as much date and software as possible to restart the works in the near future.
