    World War One Interface.

    Hi All,

I'm supposed to be on sabbatical, but in my "spare" time I've been working on a WW1 interface and I was hoping that some of you might be able to help me out with some info. I need to find some video footage in .mpg format to use for the opening.mpg. I'm also struggling to find photos etc for the German Imperial Navy, Belgian Air Service and, believe it or not, the US Navy?? As things stand, I have completed the general in-game screens and am working on complete screen sets (including nationality, briefing, and out screens etc, rank badges, medals and award certs) for...

    RFC
    RNAS
    U S Air Service
    U S Navy
    French Air Service
    German Imperial Air Service
    German Imperial Navy
    Belgian Air Service
    Australian Flying Corps
    Austro-Hungarian Air Service
    Italian Air Service
    Imperial Russian Air Service
    Royal Canadian Flying Corps
    Ottoman Air Force

I haven't thought about other nations (Japan, Romania etc) because of the nationality number limitations, but they could be possibilities for later on.

I would be grateful for any information, photos or other assistance.

    Cheers,

    PomBee. :ernae:

It won't be finished for some time yet as I keep backtracking and re-doing bits of it, but I'll keep plugging away (when time and workload permit) and finish as soon as I have all the components that I need.

    Thanks, Guys.

I have a gorgeous book, printed before US entry, tons of pics I have never seen before. I'll scan some of the aviation-related ones. I also have some vintage WW1 campfire-type recordings.

they used to sing a lot back then to keep up their spirits, is that what you meant by campfire recordings? They even celebrated Christmas one year by eveyone stopping fighting and they declared an unofficial truce and partied in no mans land.

Oh yes, the famous Christmas Day Soccer Match. To quote Captain Blackadder " I was never off-side!!". A touch of humanity and goodwill in a terrible situation.
