How much overkill is this? It will be used with an I7 CPU.

Besides FSX I do wildlife photography and use CS4 for processing prints and Qimage for printing.

Its a tad overkill...But not by much..

You could go with a 275 or a 4890 or even the new 5 series ATI cards...



But is it not a dual GPU card? Some systems, Mine included hate a dual GPU card...

I'd go with the new dx11 ATi 5870 if I were building a new rig. If you want to stick with Nvidia and can't wait for the new GTX300 series, have a look at the GTX285 in either 1GB or 2GB flavours.

VCN-1 ask Hey Moe I think he has one. I was not that impressed with them for the price when we tested them price/performance wise but they have come down in price lately.
