Just had the prop materials to finish for the external model and landing gear animation.

I can get the MAX file back via my download account.

Now I will have to start over. Guess we need a P-61 more than a Wildcat.

    BOOM!!
Ouch, that is really too bad. A wildcat would have been great.
I was collecting Wildcat paint ideas already.

I still have the mesh Jankees... just found out that a payware developer was working on a version.

How's a Ruptured Duck livery sound?

Forget the Wildcat. I'm still drooling at the idea of flying a B-25B from the Hornet!

(If you go through with it, don't forget to model the painted broomstick sticking out the back!

For the B-25? Sure...and maybe one for the 320 MLD squadron (though that was a C-model)?

I thought you'd lost all your wildcat data, phew

It's about time some one does a B-25B/C! I can scratch mine off the list.
Bored with all the G, H, and J models...

Could you send it to me please, that 'grabber' methioned by Dino a few days back might work well enough to get a source file back from the model, it wasn't textured so no issue's with mapping etc, it might grab enough to give a reasonable basis to carry on ?.

Well the nice thing about an SOH built donationware project.. we can get all the things we want in it. Looking at the plans not much difference between a B/C. So we add both.

Also want a variation of the B... between broomsticks and real guns in the tail.

As far as I know, all flight sim projects by MAAM came to an end in 2013 when the two people who were responsible for their flightsim development retired.
My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

Wasn't this project taken over by someone else?

Robert took over the Michael Davies project; took it to very high level inside. Ran into limits issues as I recall; wrestled with it for months.

He then went payware. Project died.

As I recall at the time I parked it the main problem had to do with successfully exporting the model as it had become fairly complex. That issue has been resolved, I still have all the files, and I occasionally pick at it. I have moved the model from Gmax to Max, and I do intend to finish it at some point. I am currently working on finishing my first major commercial project (EagleSoft Cessna Citation XLS+). I have learned a lot about modeling while working on it, and I will be incorporating those new skills on the P-61 when I get back into it.

Robert, it's still a beauty and I for one (and I'm sure many others) would gladly support the P-61 on the payware side of the fence when time permits.

Robert, you have my vote for payware. I followed your progress closely while I was doing the scenery for Iwo Jima with Mark. Hearing it is going to be finished is great news. Thanks for the pics.
