    Static Aircraft Library WIP

A little scenery filler...these are not exquisitely modeled aircraft. Think of them as buildings that look kinda like planes

    Wow! Those look pretty good!

I've never been into statics, prefer AI, but those do look really nice, great job! :ernae:

This came up when the AI weren't filling enough slots at KARR. I'm doing KARR for Doug Horton who writes for Computer Pilot. He owns part of a C182 there. We talked about it and I thought I would just add some static aircraft from the FSX default library. The problem was that the selection is pretty limited, so I thought I would try to make some I (or anyone else) could use anywhere. They are FS9 models that can be used with either FS9 or FSX.

They look a LOT better than the standard ones that come in the FSX library.

Buildings....I wish that all static planes looked like buildings than! Great work! Any ETA?

I would guess it should be finished in the next couple of weeks. I want to get at least a few more models/variations in. I'm trying to do things that the default AI doesn't have.

Very nicely done! Mabye you could add some of those to your KSDL scenery as well?

Yes, I plan on it. I'll be adding them in a separate BGL at any future airports. That way if people don't like them, they can just disable the BGL containing the static aircraft. I'm also including LODs so they'll vanish at a distance to minimize frame rate impact.

Everything I've seen thus far is so much better than anything available as objects for placement kjb, very nice work.

You've got a nice variety, and these look simple awesome compared to the default static groups in FSX! Can't wait to place these in and around my local field/next project

Man, beautiful work kjb, what a boon to the object placement community, lol. . .nothing this good exists outside of what you've done here. Will these objects be released as a separate library, or are they only available within your sceneries?

It's a separate library that can be used for any scenery, FS9 or FSX.

    So far...

I think I'll add a couple more and call it done.
