Marine green is usually darker than army green. Also Marines would never let there helo get too dirty. :ernae:

Heres what I got so far MudMarine, some of the markings are current marine corps markings, but I could not find anything from the era of your unit in the 60's and 70's.

I just had a look Matt, can't find them either. Really odd that the C has them but not the H. You could try making a really shiny one from the main texture to see if specular is even applied to the model. Something to add to the next patch!

Isn't it using the UH1C_1_T_spec.dds?

Thanks for all the great repaints!

performance question

Hello everyone,

I have another frame rate performance question...

How do you determine what version (patch) you have installed? I bought the Huey about a week ago from PCAviator's store, and nowhere in the installed software can I find what version it is...and my account on PCAviator doesnt seem to have that info either. I"m hoping its an older version, because the performance is horrendous to the point of being unflyable. I even tried resizing the textures, didnt help much at all. I think its the model. Frame rates with the Huey are just over half that of the CS 757 Pro and stutters are constant and continuous...and considering the simplicity of the systems, I cant imagine why...? The only other aircraft I've had stutters with is Dino's Tomcat, but they went away with the latest versions... but this is the only aircraft i've ever installed with such low framerates.

Hi pa-pilot,
There is no single patch. All installers have been replaced (AFAIK), so the PCAviator version should be the current version. There are a lot issues mentioned at the beginning of this thread, which have been fixed with the updated release (e.g. here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforum...t=21382&page=5).
I don't think that the latest update is already released.
Are there any news about the new update?
It's not the most performance friendly aircraft i have, but it's very detailed. I don't have problems in normal areas but i wouldn't fly it in complex areas (large cities etc.).
It's a very gorgeous model.

EDIT: just checked my Simmarket account for updates, but it's still the ND-uh1_fsx.exe with 348.61MB

Thanks for the response JT8D. And I do agree that its a wonderfully done model, it seems its just a little too wonderful for my machine. Looks like with the new amazing high poly releases, I'll have to start being careful what I buy.
