    The old FS9 Mirage 2000N in Acceleration

    I've fixed the old sticking throttle problem that I always had with this bird as well as the contrail problem and the results are stunning , well I think so, this is not my jet or repaints all I've done is configured it for fsx acceleartion...

    All I did was remove the..
    gauge22=Rollusgauges!Mirage2000npc,0,0,1,1
    from the panel.cfg under the [Vcockpit01] section
    and add..

    [Vcockpit02]
    Background_color=0,0,0
    size_mm=32,32
    visible=0
    pixel_size=32,32
    texture=$exhaust
    gauge00=KO_F16_FX!F16_AB_THROGGLE, 0,0,1,1

    Along with the (KO_f16_FX) freeware gauge and all was well for me!

    As for the contrails, I just changed the [smokesystem] section co-ordinates to
    smoke.1 = -15.89, 14.6, -1.90, (fx your effect)
    smoke.2 = -15.89, -14.6, -1.90, (fx your effect)

    Heres a few pics!

    My thinking when posting this was I know there are alot of dasssault lovers and its probibly a jet alot of you havent flown in a while especially if you use acceleration or sp2.
    Hope it works for you and you enjoy Roland Laborie's great jet, the repaints were by Jonathan Hilaire!

    No problem Dave this jet really is so much fun!

    As you can see the VC is great most of it functional too!!

    Eject Eject Eject! (Press tailhook key)

    She's great for low level, very fast sorties like through Britains Lake District at 450 kts and 150ft, its a national park so you can't go supersonic..yeah right lol

    All I need now for her is a decent afterburner effect as I don't like the default one!

    Does this adjustment work with the 2000c mirage by chance as they share the same VC type??

    As far as I know there are No Dassault Mirage 2000C's available for fsx or fs2004 which share the same VC or have a VC for that matter. Mate, its a two seater but if you mean the 2000B then yes if its from this model but this to me is stricktly a Mirage 2000N (N meaning 'Nuclear' with the ASMP) or the 2000D which is a dedicated conventional attack variant developed from the Mirage 2000N. But if the model was developed by this author or that people have modified then yeah sure this should work as long as you use the gauge stated in the above post! It will work with all of the Jonathan Hilaire repaint Packs!! If you still have the "contrail out of place" problems let me know!

    personally this best Mirage 2000 variant is the...
    Mirage 2000-5 Mark 2
    Dassault extended the improvements of the Mirage 2000-5 a bit further with the Mirage 2000-5 Mark 2, which is an enhanced, fully multirole version of the Mirage 2000-5. It is currently the most advanced version of the Mirage 2000.
    Features:
    Thales RDY-2 radar. This radar system is similar in configuration to the original RDY, but features two new air-to-ground modes, including a high-resolution synthetic apature radar (SAR) imaging mode with a moving target indicator (MTI) capability to provide an all-weather, day/night targeting capability. The radar features LPI (Low Probability of Intercept) operation, with the output pattern varying in a seemingly random pattern that prevents an adversary from recognizing that it has been targeted.
    The high-power Modular Data Processing Unit (MDPU) designed for the Rafale.
    A new Thales Totem 3000 INS with ring-laser gyros and GPS capability, providing much greater accuracy, reliability, and shorter alignment time replaces the older ULISS 52 system. It works in conjunction with a terrain-following system.
    An improved RWR, classified ICMS 3 digital countermeasures suite.
    An on-board oxygen generation system (OBOGS).
    The cockpit was updated as well, retaining the same general layout but with larger color displays and other modernizations. The Thales Topsight helmet-mounted display / sighting system is offered as an option.
    The Mirage 2000-5 Mark 2 includes a datalink for the targeting of MICA ER missiles and can carry the Damocles targeting pod.

    This baby is what I'm dieing for..

    Its one we Keep seeing on magazine covers and in blogs but we hear very little about it imagine that as a VC!!!

    My personal real aerial photos of Cuba are interesting. Lots of varying ground details!

    Speaking of FSX Mirage's. I seem to remember a thread back about Roland's new Mirage that is going to be FSX native?

    You got that right cuba has a varying eco system and its a pain in the rump in FSX to correct. Im only at the 15% marker in re classing the Land. Betwwen the Migs and finding this mirage i've been having a blast and increasing my learning knowledge.

    This beastie needs Eric Marciano's radar and the Simscape Mirage 4000 HUD (both payware).

    You must have been fairly low level, doing some of that chopper he-man stuff. All I ever see of Cuba is cloudiness.

    I can see land detail in the pics very well. What altitude are these at 20,000ft mins. Oh and by the way cuba does have some nice beaches and resorts still, just the Cuban AF runs them.

    I can't remember what the altitude was exactly on the day I took these pics, but it's usually in the mid to upper 30,000 ft range. Believe it or not, the Havana Center controllers speak really good english and they're very friendly.

    Cuba. There was another set of photos where I caught a MD-11F passing opposite on the airway and a friend caught a Mig-21MF passing and then coming back by at our 8 through 10 position.

    Wow DFA, you caught Cuba on a CLEAR day. Ah yes, and the Delta painted nacelle.

    I DL'd both the Mirage 2000N and the Mirage IV by Roland....oh, how sweet they are. I'm very surprised at the quality of the VC, as well as the rest.

    Found a couple more. The northwest shore and the hooked western tip of Cuba. That tip is about the most definition I can come up with. Compare the tip with a map.

    Bad part about that run was that there was a damn Hurricane that had just passed through into the Gulf and the tail of it made life a little ugly at FL350 considering the air is normally very smooth in that area at that level. Only time I have ever been socked in at that level with moderate to severe turbulence. The rough stuff lasted nearly 15 mins and when we punched out, there was ice crystals stuck all over every window. The only time I have ever experience that kind of turbulence at high alt prior to this flight was passing through the ITCZ on many flights. When it was active, it was very rough!!!

    Roger that, know what you mean. I've been through the bands of a number of hurricanes down there. You'll never see any of my screenshots with weather in them...I'm a VFR flight simmer only.
