    My planned 2 day stop in Lisbon was somewhat altered by the big bosses at home I was flown back to the UK to Hurn Airport near Bournemouth for a special meeting ! On arrival I was taken to witness an amazing sight . We had all heard about a new aircraft which may revolutionize Air transport and there I was watching the De Havilland Comet making its first 30 min test flight . What a noise , what power , I want a go in that !!! The bosses told me they were pleased with my progress ,so far , and that if I am successful in this competition then I will be the first BOAC pilot to be trained in this beast . What more incentive needed to push on to Argentina So I hot-footed back to Lisbon and the Quest continues

    Safely landed at GMMC . A change of plan on approach . I was planning to use RWY 03 via the Anfa NDB but vis was excellent and on reaching the El Hank NDB decided to go for a visual on RWY21 . Bit of a crosswind and a wobble on finals but nice landing

    Safely Landed at GQPA . Was very concerned with approach as visibility was predicted to be rather poor and NDB not well placed to line-up . But conditions were clearer than expected and airport was in big green area in the sand So an easy approach . Big drift offline at the start but the tuned NDB brought back in line ( That will teach me not to go and watch TV instead of the windmeter :O ) but does make the Atlantic crossing a bit more scary seeing how far you can drift if not on top of the winds

    Safely landed at Dakar GOOY . A nice easy last flight in Africa . Although the shifting winds are quite a concern for the atlantic crossing

    Penalties = 0
    Flight Time = 1 hr 32 mins 07 secs

    The Dakar peninsula and good weather makes for an easier approach
