    Man, that would be difficult hanging almost upside down for 3 hours..

    Glad she made it safely down.


    Hard to watch that glider fall to the ground later when they cut that tree down. arrghh...

    Indeed historically. The helmet is of the same design except in SAR ground roles provide better protection to the head, neck and ears. Wonder if that was the theory behind those helmets for the Axis (again im only lookin from a historical point).

    I noticed the similarity of the helmets with those of WW2 Germany as well. Not that there is anything bad about those helmets...they were a good looking helmet, very effective in protecting the neck and ears...no point fixing something that isn't broken.
