European manufacturer
from southern Europe
Well, I'm beaten. I've been right through j2mcl-planeurs.net, checking inter-war year gliders from what I'd regard as Southern Europe, and come up with nothing that fits the bill.
I have it as the Alfaro 1.
After the Alfaro 2, I never expected it to last this long.
OH please.
@dan_pub
May I politely ask for the source of that mystery?
Even knowing the answer I couldn't find a single picture of the Alfaro 1.
In truth, my only certainty is that it comes from my hard disk, with a date of 2014-02-01.
I suspect it came from the wonderful SPF forum, Maveric's post #12 on 2014-01-28 in the thread "Alfaro Aircraft":
https://www.secretprojects.co.uk/thr...ircraft.21318/
I can see why it feels suspiscious: it looks more modern and streamlined than a 1914 design.
Interesting , those early Alfaro designs .
If I believe this pdf , the glider is probably not the Alfaro 1 (please , go to p.227)
https://www.aeroclubvitoria.net/fund...lo%20libro.pdf
and the Alfaro I could be shown page 84 ...
Many thanks to both of you.
The picture over at the SPF shows the registration 10539, according to a later post by c460 and to aerofiles this should be the Alfaro LPG-2-30 built in the US then.

Let's try this one, shouldn't be too difficult.

Evidently a transport sanitaire, but the trouble is that I can't find a parasol wing example that looks anything like the one illustrated!
It is indeed a transport sanitaire (even in the correct language ).
The picture is a bit fuzzy but if you look closely you can see two pairs of struts on each side which is rather characteristic for most early types of this manufacturer.
It is the Gourdou-Leseurre GL-23TS.
Over to Chris.
I think this should last a bit.
Chris
The machine bears a strong resemblance to the Fiat R.2 except for the "elephant ears".
according to my info not related to Fiat
Chris
I think this is the Antoni 25 from
You hit the nail on the head.
Over to you
