This one is also fit for that one hot summer day, when it occurs
The wheel u/c was only for ground handling, so she was a pure flying boat

Since we had the Mitchell Kitalina already, could this be the Kemper Nazgul?

Couldn't find any photo of it.

  3. #15778
Here is a photo I have of it.

  4. #15779
    Thanks for the photo, Kevin!
The similarity is striking. Let's see what wout thinks about my proposal.

    hi fabulousfour
Your proposal has been accepted and as a result you now have the immense task to make all possible efforts to surprise us (again, I trust).

  6. #15781
I will try to shoulder that burden like a man

    Here is my next "surprise".

    Mitsubishi 1MF1?

  8. #15783
    My respect, that's the answer

Thought that this challenge would last a bit longer...

  9. #15784
I got lucky - that happened to be the picture used as the basis for a drawing of the Mitsubishi that for some reason got stuck in my head.

Time for a blurry shot from elsewhere in the world...

An old favourite, Chris, the Triciclo-Experimental from the Government Workshops in Chile.

  14. #15789
Yes quick and easy. I didn't have one ready at the time. Over to you.

    Chris

This one is probably even easier - at least to the usual suspects......

By the way, I'm reading a novel where the baddies are flying a float-equipped Storch - did that ever happen???

Yes, definitely. I saw one earlier this year. It was foraging on the margins of the frayère upstream of us. When it spotted me, it flew up and away and, as it did, I could see something dangling from its leg. I assume that it must have snagged a fishing line to which the float was attached. Oh, but maybe you weren't talking about ciconia ciconia .... ?

er, no...... He's been on the cider again........

Yes indeed, from what used to be Yugoslavia - I have little knowledge of the Balkans but I think Belgrade is in Serbia. For the meantime.....

The Jane's of its day called them Rogojarskis, but perhaps z's and j's are interchangeable in Serbo-Croat. I'm not sure that I really care.

Over to the Black Forrest (is that in Serbia too ?)

No - the penultimate bottle of last years's white wine from the Noah (vitis labrusca) grapes.

    that's a question of transcription: Serbian Cyrillic:Рогожарски СИМ-XII-Х

I am sure that one of the many Serbian forrests will be black, too (at least by night)
