    Hi giruXX

She is from Chile and started as Model A.L. (Avion Liviano), but was soon renamed by ENAIR (ENAER (Empresa Nacional de Aeronáutica de Chile) asECH-02 (ECH-002) Ñamcu.
The EE-10 Eaglet was an improved variant developed in my country by ENAIR-Europe (EuroEnair) and two aircraft received a PH-registration. PH-EAG was the former CC-PZL which was transferred to the Netherlands. It was followed by PH-ABG which was built in Holland.
After the programme was halted in 2002, PH-EAG went to the Delft Technical University and PH-ABG was returned to Chile where she became CC-PBZ and she ended in the Musea Aeronautica collection.

    Thank you Walter!

My pic shows her as Enaer Namcu (Eaglet) prototype, CC-PZI

This is a one-of that was built as "personal transport". Original design and first flown 40+ years ago

That looks like the Barton Sylkie One from 1975.

She IS the Barton Sylkie One!

  6. #16881
Walter, was it you who wrote the article about the Barton on this site?

Next mystery is a bit older.

That, Robert, is F-WFOB, the MS.731 Alcyon.

Had a wee unfortunate moment when one of its prop blades became detached...

    That, Mike, is 100% correct.
Nice picture, didn't know about that incident. Must have been a really shaky matter.

    Enjoy your pint.

Thank you Robert - I'll save it - too early, even for me.

Just to show I've nothing against light aircraft - try to get this one before you-know-who pounces !

Hmm, not seeing Lefty's latest in my nearly new copy of "Ten Thousand Single Engine Low Wing Monoplanes Since 1945".

    Hi Kevin
You need volume 2, that covers the one-of a kind ones

  13. #16888
Is that the sister volume to 'Twenty Thousand single engine high wing Piper Clones' , Kevin?

IT was posted merely to demonstrate that I am not entirely obsessed with aquatic monsters of the Twenties.....

Anyway, this one's not a flatpack flivver -it's in Aerofiles -(sans photo) - actually three made, Walter, one of which did for its designer. West Coast. Of the USA.

(I could never understand why guys went to all that effort and expense making clones when they could have gone out and bought a Piper/Beech, whatever.....)

Could it be down to that incompetent translation of Henri Mignet's Le Sport de l'Air, you know the one which says ..... 'if you want to build your own Piper Cherokee lookalike for less than 500$, all you need is half a dozen old packing cases, a job lot of 4x2, several well worn bed sheets, a secondhand motorcycle engine, 2 gallons of Dulux white emulsion .....'?

  15. #16890
    You guys are funny.

Dang, I need to get that volume 2...

  16. #16891
Right, move on time (although Walter knows.....) It's the Cook JC-1 Challenger from 1969/70. OH please.

    Hi Mike
You gave me too much credit. Honoustly I did not recognize the JC-1 Challenger. May because on most of the photos in my database show aircraft flyingg/standing from left to right?
Next challenge is a high wing, but afaik has nothing to do with Piper.

Whatever it is, it looks to have been inspired by the De Schelde Scheldemeeuw.

  19. #16894
    Looks like USA, 1960's...

    Hi pommehomme
Sorry, no relationship with the Scheldemeeuw. However, she is likewise named after a bird. And the designer`s name is (well)known for light aircraft.
    Hi Kevin
Indeed from the 1960s. First flown 1962 in USA.

  21. #16896
Could this be then the Buecker Skylark N6336T?

The description at aerofiles would fit.

Couldn't find a photo of that bird but that's nothing new with wout's mysteries.

    Hi fabulousfour
Well done! The Buecker Skylark it is. I think the photo came from EAA`s Sport Aviation magazine. (the only photo I ever saw/found/located).

  23. #16898
    Thanks, Walter!

Wondering, if there is any connection between the Carl Buecker who built the Skylark and the famous Buecker Jungmann/Jungmeister. They were also designed by a Carl Buecker .

Long time that we had the last helicopter...

    Hi fabulousfour
Looks like one of the prototypes of the Brazilean CTA Beija-Flor designed with help of Prof. Heinrich Focke

  25. #16900
    That was fast!

It is one of the prototypes of the Beija-Flor designed by another world famous German designer.

    Proost!
