This elegant aircraft seems to be a first here, too. Not a homebuilt.

Sr Frati makes beautiful airpanes so they are memorable.

This one, not so much...not even sure it's a face a mother could love -

Is it one of Louis Peyret's tandem wing gliders? If so, perhaps photographed at Combegrasse in 1922 as the location doesn't look like Itford or Vauville.

An afterthought: possibly Peyret's Nº 2 Alérion, flown by Le Petit at Biskra, Algeria, in 1923.

just resarched the plane i answered wrongly....chris got it right but missed out calling it the "so-30 nene" theres a prop veriosn and a jet version...but i digress!

  16. #22666
Chris got it right there were two jet versions one with the Nene and another with Atar engines. I'm not much of an engine guy. So didn't know which one Also the SO30 was calle the Bellatrix and Bretagne so which is why I stayed with SO30. The SO-30R Bellatrix was a piston engine aircraft.

This might help (with a bit of basic French !)

Thank you, Chris. Staying with the lighter end of flight, here's a delicate little biplane.

    Sud-Ouest S.O.30 Bretagne
S.O.30R Bellatrix were two prototypes of the nosewheel undercarriage production model; One aircraft converted from S.O.30R c/n 02 for use as a testbed, powered by two Rolls-Royce Nenes.

I believe the ATARs were mods for French Air Force cargo versions, used as auxiliaries under the wings, ala the C-123, etc.

The the co-creator of the delicate little biplane sounds rather like something that the milkman might have delivered!

    Beurre, fromage or crème?

Besides the Anzani engine not the faintest idea.

Perhaps a topping of the latter.

Putting aside the dairy clues, try looking in Belgium.
