Is the Lascurain Sport the same machine as the 1940 Lascurain-Salinas XB-1 and the Lascurain Bimotor de Turismo that we had back in 2015? If it is, with that many identities it ought to be French rather than Mexican!

Only 97-100º F, Kevin? Here we had 42º C (= nearly 108º F) on Friday and we're continuing with 38/39º C until the storms predicted for Wednesday morning produce - hopefully - temperatures more tolerable thereafter. Then, maybe, I can cease getting up at 6:00 am to do my outside jobs!

I am away from my computer but do believe the Sport is the same as the XB-1.

    Take it away Uli.

You folks stay cool over there!

I want to say that it's a Roger Adam RA-14, but I don't think that it is .....

  5. #21405
I can confirm the second part of your reply.

I.e., not from France. From a much bigger country, but widely-used over the world.

Then I claim my beer for getting the right answer, namely that it's not an RA-14!

Our stock of virtual beer is infinite (and it won‘t cause you any headache; at least not the beer)

I thought it might be a Maule, then, like Mike, I thought better of it !

Maybe the heat got me, but a Christavia Mk.1 from Canada?
But....have some doubts cause of the gear/strut locations.

  10. #21410
It is from Canada but from another company that produces kits since 1984.
Our sample has an "Australian name".
    More than 300 built.

I thought that the range of Fisher (kit) designs originated in the USA, not Canada (?)

I think this is the Sungari 1 from

  20. #21420
Did you manage to find a picture of the Sungari 1, Robert? I got as far as the Aero Super 45 but couldn't find any pictures of the unlicensed Chinese copy of it.

  21. #21421
Mike, there is a picture of that plane under the entry of the Aero 45 at aviadejavu.ru (you have to scroll down) and probably the same photo at the secretprojects forum at "China Early Transport Aircraft" in the sub-forum "Secret Postwar Aircraft Projects".
    Couldn't find any other photo.

  22. #21422
Thank you, Robert. Evidently you're more diligent than me!

  23. #21423
On page 195 in the book "Chinese Aircraft.China's Aviation Industry Since 1951" it appears as Song Hua Jiang-1 as a reverse-engineered Aero Ae 45S
