Looks like a Cirrus Sr22 clone.

What I find more fascinating is that it appears to be on a cobbled runway!

The cobbled runway could be a taxiway/parking area?
In the in the country of origin cobbled runways maybe pose no problems for some of the largest aircraft built there. (hint-hint)

According to one source this wheel arrangement was done just as a gag to try something different, however proved to be successful in races.

Due to problems with the ground handling a "standard" gear was installed later on.

    Congratulations Robert
This is a damned good airplane mystery

For Britons of a certain age, who enjoyed television in the company with their mater of a lunchtime, do sing along ......

Was it Mike or was it Ike
You can choose which one you like
It's got wheels just like a bike
Was it Mike or was it Ike

..... and Little Weed shouted: 'It was Ike'!

He's been on the Calvados again......

I'll answer when I finish watching Howard's End....

  16. #17816

It was Ike, so it was Mike who gave the answer I like

In fact it is the Howard DGA-4 "Ike" with its experimental tandem wheels. Some sources state that it is a DGA-5, however according to aerofiles this seems to be incorrect since there were 2 DGA-4, "Mike" and "Ike".

    Over to Calvados-country, please

I fear that we might be lapsing into poet's corner - or perhaps doggerel den might be more appropriate! Anyhow, I'm sticking to the same theme for the time being .....

This VW/powered one was the first aircraft designed/built in that country.

That is the Bocono I built by Vicente Zambrano from Venezuela, first flight around 1965 I think.

If correct, Open House please, I'm not at home for the next hours.

    hi fabulousfour
Correct on all points! Thew aircraft was donated to the Venezuelan Air Force Museum, but there she was considered as "of no interest" and was destroyed at a later stage.
Mr. Z also started construction of a small heli, but that was not finished.

    OH as requested by fabulousfour
