I hope you don't get puzzled from the aircraft in the background, it is from far away.
The aircraft won a race a few years after WW1 and part of its name is the manufacturer of the engine.

Is it the Verville-Packard R-1 ??
It is, Mike!
The first winner of the Pulitzer Race, developped from the Verville VCP with a Packard engine.
Over to you
Thank you. I have to say I spent some time researching French racing craft before the penny dropped...........
Here's one that, just for a change, isn't a floater.......although it might be !
Which eventually became a floatplane - over to you, Chris....
I've seen that one and I know even the country, but I can't remember the name.
Sadly the site with those planes is down.
It's from a country in the southern hemisphere.
Chris
These types are out of my area of interest but I will guess Australia is the country of origin?
This was an interesting looking homebuilt. I don't like using them since so much variation. Since it's been a couple of days this is the Jorge Newbery JN-01, LV-X87
Open House

AFAIK this never appeared in JAWAs.

Time for a copter, perhaps?

Early Sznycer-Gottlieb SG-VI (SG-VIC?) from Canada.
right on, wout
the first Canadian copter

A high wing with no particular characteristics to make it differ from many other high wing aircraft. The tires are tundra tires, but then again they are not (Goodyears I have been told)
That craft makes me dream

This is an (US-built) example of the Tundra bush aircraft by DreamAircraft (one word) of Canada.
You can oder your kit from the nearest dealer and have a choice of engine, gear (tri or conventional) and she can also operate on floats/skis. And of course you can add some colour, if you wish.
giruXX want to give it a try?
I can't afford the time and money
(but dreaming may be allowed)
Open House, as far as I understand it.

Ok, this one shouldn't last too long.
That's the bird!
Next challenge, please.
