    Pander type EH from 1930.

Pander was a furniture maker from the Hague who also built several aircraft. Their most famous aircraft was of course the S.4 'Postjager' they've entered in the McRobertson race.

    :help:
I should be disillusioned and am looking for one you guys will never guess. (even if I have to build it myself). Indeed the Difoga 421, started during WW2 in all secrecy and flown in 1946 with a Ford Mercury car engine.
The man behind the project (Frits Diepen) became involved with Fokker and this led to the twin tail F-25 Promotor.
May I offer my humble admiration for the high standard of aircraft recognition on this forum.

Recognition ?? I'm still looking for the ruddy WHITE TEXT !!!!! ????

Thanks Wout. We have a small group here but are very dedicated to the cause.

I might add you are no slouch yourself, especially with GA mysteries! :ernae:

Wout, as for Dutch aircraft: I think most have been posted here already (And I'm to blame for a lot of them..!)

Er, I think we're waiting for a mystery. Or has Ferry hidden it somewhere that we have to locate ? Now there's a new twist to the forum !

Wout, I can't speak for the others, but I have said many times that half the battle in this wee quiz is knowing where to look. There is not one of us who possesses an encyclopaedic knowledge of all types of aircraft (except maybe our Moses).

There is a term used by birdwatchers for that indefinable air about a bird that helps them identify it without inspecting every feather. They call it 'jizz'. Well, I think for us old lags, aircraft have 'jizz' too. I can smell a Balkan horror at 3000 miles - then it is a matter of doing the research. (the same applies to Gallic Uglies) Even the quality of the photo gives you a clue. If it is grotty and grainy, chances are it comes from somewhere grotty too!

Anyway, end of lecture. On with the fray, please, Ferry. But don't expect an answer from me this morning - watching the World Curling Men's final from Alberta - Canada v Scotland. (I decided not to play in it this year, in case you were wondering.)

PS By the way, Ralf, forgot birthday congratulations yesterday - sorry ! Hope you had a fun, relaxing day !! (Biggie next year then,eh ?? :d )

Actually, he's been to lunch with the Boss (she paid !) to celebrate Scotland's great WIN over Canada.

Sticking to floaters, how about this one ?

  15. #1540
Some kind of Douglas Dolphin one-off?

  16. #1541
Not a spin-off from anything - a free-standing design. Not giving away any more just yet.

  17. #1542
Not having any luck on this amphib.

  18. #1543
...which might be the original Douglas Sinbad? But if Mo' can't get this, then :help: (thought there was a smily waving a white flag, but maybe that's on another website).

    It is European.

    Doh! It's a Hopfner HA.11/33.

  21. #1546
Can't think why it took you so long !

  22. #1547
Was convinced it was from the USA. Had a cursory look through a few Germans early on but that was it.

Let's go with this four engined push-pull biplane. From a well known manufacturer.

I'll take a wild stab at it with the Sopwith Bee.

  25. #1550
Looks similar, Willy, but the Bee wasn't quite so stubby and had longer wings.
This one is not a Brit.
