There is no photo over there anyways.
Suspected as much.
It's a Homer T. Blenkiron Alamo Special. Cockpit specially raised to accommodate Stetsons........
Right. This stylish number is from Minnesota. It is a Mohawk M2-C Chieftan.
Here is an easier twin of size-
Ahhh, now that's the North American XB-21 after its rhinoplasty.
Spot on. Lost out to the B-18 Bolo due to cost I believe.
Fire at will (gulp)-
Woops ! Posted then realised I'd left the name on it !
A chunky chap here - but what ?
Thanks for the ale Sir. Any takers on this trainer?
My avatar is getting excited about this one..........
Excited to fly away in a hurry! Want a couple of eggs with that? Hash browns maybe?
I go for the Bacon T-6S also known as the Super T-6.
World famous in the LAX area and I was privileged to see the bird in alive
(when I was young). Developed from (you guess...) by the Erle L.Bacon Corporation, flown 1957 and registered N66J. Wonder what happened to this aircraft.
wout! Correct on the Bacon. Not sure what became of it.
I love pigs, but I am addicted to bacon. Smoked, maple-cured, Ayrshire, Wiltshire, free-range Gloucester Old Spot.......
Well done, Wout.
A thread over at WIX said the Bacon was languishing on the ramp at Whiteman Airpark, Los Angeles. Last seen in a faux Soviet cammo scheme, I located it on Google Earth. Date of photo is 2004. The satellite imagery is from Oct 2007.
Moses03, thanks for the info on the Bacon T-6S. Possibly I saw it at Whiteman in the 1980s, but I seem i remember it was another (small) airport
which was closed shortly afterward (had nothing to do with my visit). Nice to see the aircraft apparently is still around.
Sorry for the grainy picture of the new one. I will settle for the original (planned) designation and for the real designation. Just one tip, it it postwar
Well it's got lots of de Schelde and Diepen-Difoga about it, but I think we're going to have to wait until the Texan Twin-Boom Tycoon swings into action later.
Worked up a good sweat but didn't hit on anything. Probably European but has some USA feel to it as well.
Moses03 and Lefty, this ttbppfg is European, but no influence from the low lands. The company that initially was involved was also responsible for a a small flying boat (trainer, postwar) and a US amphibian twin built with indigenous engines.
Italian ? Piaggio ? Nardi ? S-M ?
Sorry Lefty, not Italian.
Well the only company that fits your last clues is S.C.A.N., but I can't find this little blighter anywhere.
Okay Wout, we have been taunted long enough.

Me too. You haven't mixed up your S.C.A.N.'s and S.E.C.A.N.'s, by any chance ?
