It also flew with the engine in the more conventional position.
I am a wee bit surprised....... Big manufacturer. Not American.

Something designed by Richard Scholz in 1934 after he was run out of Germany? White flag is waving again. Enjoying the challenges of late though.
Can anyone unseat Lefty's run here?
I'd say a Hispano Suiza engine, the whole plane looks like a Bernard but i wouldn't bet a [LINESTRIKE]hand[/LINESTRIKE] [LINESTRIKE]finger[/LINESTRIKE] nail on it.
Howdy Kevin ? Howdy Lefty ?
Hi Yann, nice to see you around. Gentlemen ( and I use the term advisedly), you will be ashamed to find out that this is a Dornier Do10 from 1931, which tested tilted-engine installations, and used Rolls-Royce, BMW and Hispano-Suiza engines ! (So you may well be right, Yann .)
Anyway, hat-trick scored - it's surely time for a floater! :mixedsmi:
Howdy Yann. Please don't be a stranger. We need your help!
Shame on us for missing the Dornier. Although I don't feel too bad because no one got the Focke-Wulf GL18 either!:icon_twi:
Thought this one was Italian but now thinking it must be a one-off Frenchy. Having a dry spell here.
Not French, Kevin, so give Aviafrance a rest...
(when did you post the GL18 ?)
Rgr on the hint.
Here was one of the posts on the FW:

Back around post 1572 in this thread.
Okay, let's have it Lefty. This Macchi-ish floater has befuddled enough!
The Macchi-like machine is a Chyetverikov ARK-3-2.
We obviously need something a little easier , so try this one..
I see Ickie's tweaking has knocked out the image uploading again.......
Boulton Paul P.108 prototype with the Bristol Mercury radial.
Will keep the easy theme going with the gull-winged little fella...
well.. after going through Boulton-Paul, Commonwealth, Percival and a host of others.. I give..
It almost looks like a cross-bred combo of the above
Rob
Yeah, OK Moses.. until after I saw your post I couldn't find a pic of the prototype:angryfir:

Yenchu XP-1
Is there something wrong with file uploads - I keep getting a "this is not a valid image file" error, and it's happening with every pic I try.?????
'Fraid so - I am having to use Photobucket again. With Ickie's health situation in mind, I suspect it will not be fixed for a while, so you'd better try an image-hosting site.
for DHC2 on the Yenchu. Over to you Sir-
Like Lefty said, we will have to embed photos for now until all the bugs are worked out. File uploading is not working.
While we wait for DHC2 to resurface, here is one to ponder...
:
I'm getting the same error while trying to upload from Photobucket. Blargh!! Someone step in for me once this "German" monstrosity has been identified - looks like a movie prop to me - no swastika, thus it's likely too un-PC for the big screen. :mixedsmi:
Okay.....figured it out. Imbed.....not upload.
Yeah, Indiana Jones and the last crusade. Couldn't remember the name. :mixedsmi:
The German what-if is from a theme park somewhere. They mocked it up to look vaguely like the one from the movie.
The new mystery is the Paulic XT3-B of 1939.:mixedsmi:
Jeez, that didn't last long...LOL
Back to you Moses
Thanks for the brewski.
How about this snooty monoplane?
I presume the sticky-out bits on the top are periscopes so the poor sod flying it could see where he was going on the ground.
Looks very French, but can't find this one anywhere. Hints ?
