Stinson L.5 in the background but I think this is Italy. Maybe a Baldo offshoot?

Alaparma AM.6 of 1957?
Rgr Mike, this must be a one-off V-tail variant.
Looking at the timings, Kevin, it appears that were thinking along the same lines at the same time! This photograph appears in volume 4 of Gente dell'aria at p.238 with the caption:
'L'AM.6 monotrave, construito nel 1957, qui ripreso sul campa di Parma, sullo sfondo uno Stinson L.5 da traino'.
Hi gentlemen
Good investigations. Indeed an Alaparma (Mantelli) AM-6 derivative with V-tail rather than the usual twin tail booms.
Flipped a coin and Kevin was the lucky (?) one.
All I now need from you gentlemen is a full technical history of both the twin tail boom AM-6 (often reported as the first post-war Mantelli type) and this V-tail one-off which appeared around 1957, or where to find further info.
I have a photo of the twin tail version but like the v-tail, can't tell you much about either one without some extensive net trolling.
Moving on, how about this very stylish number?
An Etrich Taube of some sort, but I've not yet found a version with a three blade propellor.
That's probably the Gull Wing of Lewis G. Young from about 1916.
It is the Young build. for Robert.
That 3-bladed prop is a real work of art!
Thanks, Kevin, it was indeed the prop that helped to solve this mystery!
Another monoplane, "slightly" more modern.
Assuming the engine to be a Pobjoy R and by a process of elimination, I'll take a guess at the Cosmopolitan Light Plane - about which I know nothing and can find nothing!
The engine is naturellement a Pobjoy R but the aircraft is not a Cosmopolitan.
It seems to be the third construction of the designer which all have been one-offs.
BTW, does anybody know anything about the Cosmopolitan Light plane? Couldn't find anything about it as well.
OK, here's my other Pobjoy R powered long shot - the Japanese NAEL (or Nozawa) X-1 of 1941.
.... which just demonstrates how unreliable the online sources are, when it comes to a definitive listing of the aeroplanes powered by Pobjoy R motors!
It is the Freüller Valls MA!

Over to you, Green
Cheers!
If this gentleman is still around and wants to post a challenge - now's your chance sir.
If not - OPEN HOUSE.
Not for the open house but to help a publication American Aviation Historical Society. I just received the latest issue and they had this unknown. From the Pete Bowers collection and he couldn't figure it out. The gentleman next to the aircraft is Mexican and no ID on aircraft or person. I've looked through most of the us aircraft military and closest was Douglas O-series.
Chris
