It's nice get you PhD's in aircraft working hard. That's it. Hopefully someone can find a higher quality pix of it.

As far as I can tell, Chris, that IS the photo of that particular machine ! (Unless Carlo has one tucked away....)

    Here's something much uglier....

I can delete that one from my list of mysteries now.

    That is the Piaggio P.8

Regarding the Meridionali A.G. mystery from Chris, is anybody able to post a link to that photo (or another one) from this rarity?

    My search wasn't successful...

  7. #18057
    Correct on both!

    Hi Robert
in spite of my strenuous and continued efforts on the net I was unable to locate any information on the mysterious A.G. I was just able to find a pic of General Aldo Guglielmetti which you will find on the attched link together with an extremely interesting dissertation on the FIAT-CMASA RS14 (fortunately in English)…
    Cheers

    A few similar-looking Villiers models - think this is the 10 ?

  11. #18061
That is what I had Mike.

PS: No AG photos in my archives Robert.

  12. #18062
I got the IMAM AG pix from a friends project. Not via the web. It looks like a Xerox copy of the pix so I thought someone might have a better quality version.

    Chris

Carlo, thanks for the link, but found it by myself already.

And thanks to all for your efforts!

Mike and Kevin: Quite close with the Villiers but it is not the "10".

  14. #18064
AS I said, they are all rather similar and the photo is a bit grainy! We'll try the Villers 4, then. The 11 is again similar but with central float.

It is the Villiers 4 which got the civil registration F-ESEM for a record attempt.

    Over to Mike.

    Thank you Robert.
I have nothing that will keep you lot busy for long, but this sporty-looking number has not, I think, been in this forum before.....

Caproni Tricap. Are we trying to give French aircraft a run for their money with Italian aircraft?

    Chris

  18. #18068
Not really, Chris - but between them they have produced some nice machines. Over to you for something more exotic ??

  19. #18069
I'm not into civil aircraft except to fly them. This aircraft is with an Air Force.

It looks like a Rans S-6 - but then, to me, all modern ultralights look the same!

  21. #18071
I have it as R-4 Coyote over to you. Its with Portugal AF

    Chris

  22. #18072
Thank you, Chris. I did say that all modern ultralights look the same to me!

Knowing how you chaps like a floater, here's an easy biggun!

  23. #18073
    I'd say the Bastianelli PRB.1.

  24. #18074
..... and you'd say correctly, sir. Over to the USA.

    From biplane to monoplane.
