Looking at the tail and rotor I'd say it's a derivative of the Bell 47, but it could also be a modified version of one of the many license-built 47's..
Intel i9-13900 Raptor Lake , Be Quiet! Dark rock slim cooler, 32 Gb Corsair DDR5 RAM, MSI Z790 Tomahawk motherboard, Asus RTX 4060Ti 16Gb, Thermaltake 1050 Watt PSU, Windows 11 64-bit 1 m2, 4 SSD, 2 HDD.

    Texas Helicopter Co. M-79T.

Ferry did the heavy lifting here, I just followed up on his Bell 47 clue.:mixedsmi:

Nice one, Kevin (it would have been a bit naughty of you not to get it - built in your backyard !)
This model is in the 80/81 Jane's, which is, of course, one of the few I don't have !

    goes to moses.

Thought the tail was going to be a giveaway. Theres a few nasty ones where that came from though

James, I'm impressed. I didn't think students 'did' mornings. (Especially Sunday).

Had my last ever exam on thursday afternoon so I'm not a student anymore! Just got the small matter of finding jobs though.

Best of luck to you James.

Having an absolutely beautiful day here. Sunshine and a nip in the air. Seems criminal to be in front of a computer!

    Onward and upward-

I think it's a Praga E.211 from what used to be Czechoslovakia...

...this is the point at which someone usually says, 'No, it's the E.232B model that was made in Romania and called a Sznuj', but assuming I'm right, can I post anything?

No. 'Upload of file failed' - and I wanted to get an early night & finish off my 900 page Dreadnought book! Will just read through that stuff about how to get round recent problems here...

    Hope to post something soon

Elle marche! OK, no need to i/d that one, it was just THE BE-ALL AND END-ALL OF FRENCH AVIATION. (Let's hope it was the right mess he flew into.)

Here's my actual mystery for you:

I'm sure someone will get it on the waking-up side of the planet. Off to

I think Ralf's wee mono is a Sopwith Scooter.

  22. #1772
to lefty! Well, it lasted the night. The Scooter was a one-off Camel monoplane built for Harry Hawker, and very nice it was too!

Sorry about delay in replying, just got back from work.

Thanks Ralf. (Work, eh ? Hmmm, I remember that. )

Just for a change, not a floater. This one's a slider....

  24. #1774
That looks like a Fairchild 82, but fitted with an inline engine instead of the usual P&W Wasp.

If it is a Fairchild 82, you can have it on floats as well.

    -James

  25. #1775
James, this is indeed a version of the Fairchild 82, but this had its own designation and indeed, name. No prizes until you get them !
