    Hello Chris
Your pic is terribly hazy but I would venture to opt for a Gourdou-Leseurre with a Hispano-Suiza engine(although the Landing gear doesn't quite match)...which one? I don't know!
    Cheers
    Carlo

Not Gourdou-Leseurre but from the same land of the many unknowns.

Looks like the SECM-Amiot 130 R.2 to me.

    Another parasol.

Though this is only a drawing the plane was real!

This aircraft is quite unusual for the manufacturer, most - if not all - other aircraft were biplanes.

    Not from the US.

I was saying (before my post disappeared) that the wing suggests a Morane Saulnier while the sharp shape of the tail suggests a SPAD but she's probably none of the two!
    Cheers

    Not a Morane, Carlo.
But the country deserves a closer look

Edit: Carlo, did you edit your post?

    I see.
Now, your second assumption is not soo bad.

It is the SPAD 540, Carlo
And here is a photographic proof that the type was real

    Thanks Carlo.
Part of a aircraft recognition silhouette...

Martin Maryland (but probably not because the wing tips are wrong)?

    Hi PH.

Not from the US of A. European. Looks quite attractive from this angle which is what caught my eye. However as you see more of it that thought dissipates. The fuselage has been described as "brutal ugliness". J.B. Cynk labelled it a "complete failure"...
