I love those twin tailboom planes.

  3. #1503
    Puget-Pacific Wheelair III-A.

  4. #1504
You won't get much past the twin-boom maestro, Wout !

  5. #1505
Thanks Mike. Actually Wout tripped me up on that Trella recently. Have to stay more focused!

Will press on here. Up next, a trimotor flying boat.

  6. #1506
    Ahh, back in Floaterville !

Thought this was an S.P.C.A. 10 - it is very similar - but not quite.
Am now thinking other side of the Atlantic............

  7. #1507
Nope, hails from your side of the pond.

What's going on ? We've gone all yukky green !!!!!:faint:

Did you by chance change the style?

  10. #1510
Not deliberately, Kevin ! (But I've already changed it back - wonder how that happened ?)

  11. #1511
Not sure how it happened. Maybe you deleted a cookie?

Will leave you all with another hint before I turn in. Like the Bratu 220, this one was also powered by Gnome-Rhone engines...

  12. #1512
Thought it might be Italian, but not with those French engines. Suppose it's one of your Balkan bandits - which are beyond the capabilities of my library...

Mention of the Cessna Bird Dog reminds me of the old Airfix Dogfight Doubles pack which had it in military livery in Vietnam pitted against a MiG21. I have a distinct memory of me & my friend Bill (now a computer scientist in Cambridge, then a schoolboy in short trousers!) laughing at that - must've been around 1970? - but it was really rather imaginative of Airfix, wasn't it?

(the pack, unopened, would now be worth a small fortune, though it was about 1/6 at the time).

    Rgr the Airfix Ralf!

Thought the floater would be off the board by now. Lefty was on the right track from the start.

Here it is on display at the 1926 Paris airshow. The first flight didn't take place until a few years later though.

  14. #1514
'Tis the Besson MB-36. Sorry, should have been on to this earlier. A lot going on here this weekend.

  15. #1515
Besson is off the board. for Lefty.

  16. #1516
Let's stick to the water - this one is not a really a light aircraft either - designed for passengers or cargo..

I am not sure, so (partial) guess.
    The Aquaflight W-6 Aqua 1?

  18. #1518
Your guess is correct, Wout (as usual). Aqua 1 it is.

Forked tail. Aimed at so called Air Taxi market. Consider this as the ultimate challenge for Moses03 and I hope that at least one other Forum member will
control himself and not jump at the answer. I'll explain later.
    Sorry for the grainy picture.

Very enigmatic, Wout, but I fear you will find that this one is known in Texas !
(As well as other parts of the world :d )

I'm pretty sure this is known in Scotland, Texas, Nottingham forest (Though that member is most likely too busy celebrating his birthday right now!) and of course here in Holland.

This interesting home-built (Or should I say garage project..?) was further developed after the war for a very large Dutch manufacturer.. The garage still exists today btw.

It's of course the DiFoGa 421 (DiFoGa = Diepen's Ford Garage)

Am I allowed to say DIFOGA 421?

Feel a bit guilty, being part-Friesian, but then it is my birthday...

You nailed it Ralf. Well done!

Been busy today with Easter church service and egg hunting with the kids.

(For the record I did have this one in the Moze archives)

Edit: I just saw where Ferry guessed it as well. (One from his own backyard) The text was in white so I didn't see it initially. Sorry Ralf, Ferry is up to bat now.

Wish I had a backyard that big..

Anyway I think the birthday boy should be allowed to post the next one!
