I noticed the Flanker in the background as well, but didn't find 'Aerorik'.

Here's a colour photo of the same aircraft: http://www.paulnann.com/Make.asp?Mak...f=pn_w0346.jpg

Intel i9-13900 Raptor Lake , Be Quiet! Dark rock slim cooler, 32 Gb Corsair DDR5 RAM, MSI Z790 Tomahawk motherboard, Asus RTX 4060Ti 16Gb, Thermaltake 1050 Watt PSU, Windows 11 64-bit 1 m2, 4 SSD, 2 HDD.

I erased some of it but then thought no one could figure out the little bit I left in. All's fair in mystery planes!

    Over to Scotland.

  3. #1178
Well this one won't last long - it is in purely and simply because I like it !

    It's the Do-24 ATT isn't it??

Too bad they had to modernize it, and add turboprops..!

I much prefer the original, but because of it's origins I'm slightly biased..

This one is posted for same reason as the ATT, I just like how it looks.. :d

There is another thread where I spotted this cabin cruiser. Will give way to anyone else who wants a shot at it.

Was just thumbing through Jane's WWI Fighting Aircraft and saw Lefty's Beardmore. Blast! Was convinced it was a post 1920 model. :caked:

Alright, you both apparently know what it is, so please name it and move on to the next!

Mumm, good root beer, if a little yellow.

I blew my last chance; let's see how this one does.

It has been graciously pointed out to me that the plane was used earlier in the thread. If you all don't mind, let me dig in "grooveyard of forgotton favorites," and see what I can find. Stand by...

(Shucks; I been wanting to spring that one for months...)

  16. #1191
Lefty had posted it back on Nov 17th.

Don't think Ferry will mind if you post another. :typing:

In all fairness, unless you've been following this thread (and its predecessor) all the way, it is going to be hard not to post the odd repeat !
Jhefner, (can we call you something else?) your post is pretty compared to some of the beauts that get dredged up here ! Then again, it's not French........

Your Caledonian correspondent strayed from the path of righteousness last night - drink was taken. I shall suffer for this.................:violent:

It's a British creation this time methinks. Was it laid down in the specification that post-war target tugs had to look awful?

I go for the Short Sturgeon (TT.Mk.2?)

  22. #1197
Correct. There was also an ASW version that was even uglier; you might even think it was French built.

    for wout. Over to you.

    Great forum!
My first posting. Only one built.

    Welcome wout. :ernae:

Since you are new to the game we will cut you some slack on your mystery plane. One of the rules: "Light aircraft (i.e small General Aviation) are generally frowned upon unless of unusual design or of historical significance."

Now someone else might know this one or it may be a very famous design but we usually steer clear of these types.

    Okay, back to the fun...:typing:
