    A Sunday chuckle.......

Oh, those two photographs, Ferry_vO, are crying out for captions, such as.......

    (1) I told you that you couldn't make a banked turn whilst you're still on the water!

    (2) Now grasp the handle on the cable, wait for the slack to be taken up and for launch to gather pace and up you come on your floats - yes, you're water skiing!

Not one of Koolhoven's greatest designs for sure! No one asked for it, and none were ever sold.

    Hi Ferry VO!
Your mystery Aircraft is a Emsco B8 of 1930 of which, I believe, only one was ever built....
    Cheers

I'm extrapolating here. The aeroplane is reminiscent of the Miles Magister and the Turkish MKEK-4 Ugur. The latter evolved from the THK-15. The former was manufactured under licence by THK. I've failed to find an image of the THK-15 but wonder whether that's what you've posted, Baragouin?

p.s. having seen Green's post subsequent to typing and posting the above, I think that I'm wrong and he's right.

    Hi Mr. Green
Your beauty may be the W.German Kiebitz of 1959. Seen designations Model 501 (by manufacturer Merckle Flugzeugbau) and LF-2 (by designer Prof-Infg. Hermann Winter of LF-1 Zaunkonig fame).
LF-2 apparently stood for Langsamflugzeug 2 (Slow Airplane no.2)
Registration D-EJUG. A second example was not finished.

I found myself thinking Gardan Supercab, but that doesn't tally with the photo.
