Found a better photo (well at least it looks like one) and a color drawing from a modeling magazine.

No other takers ? It is the Mihail Stabiloplan from darkest Romania. Cute, but a tad noisy, methinks !

Lefty swats away the little flea. Nice second photo.
Here's something a little more civilised - a very smartly turned-out machine...
I agree with you entirely, BG, there are very similar Wacos, but all biplanes..
No connection, I believe, although produced at the same time, and not very far away from Waco......
Guess I should have a notion on this one. Not having much luck.
This one is in Aerofiles - the Davis D-1-W, although wrongly stated there as a single-seater, when it plainly has two !
Following Green's mystery chopper - here's another rotary machine -
I think a clue might be in order - who would think that a 4 blader with wings not turned up at the tips would be so difficult to find........

Hello Lefty!
I'm gutted by the Davis mate and yeah, I got a bum steer from Aerofiles! But I'm ashamed of myself - I had this photo from a magazine for 40 years and it never clicked. I never realised it also came with a covered canopy. But that's life.
Your autogyro - from Europe, but not that Cierva fellow?
Hmm, G, there are some notable differences between your photo and mine- gear struts, vertical tail surface, etc etc...
Anyway, my autogiro is not European !
The whirly fans are lying low..... This one is in Aerofiles (sans photo) and was actually an historic machine - the first-ever rotorcraft with cyclic pitch control. There, that shouldn't take long to Wiki !
Hi Lefty.
I Googled that - and got a Wilford WRK Gyroplane?
http://www.gyroplanepassion.com/Wilf...Gyroplane.html
But it doesn't look right?
It is the very same machine, G, with the wings removed (X794W) The tail must have been altered too See Aerofiles.. Over to you sir
That side view gives it away ---possibly? Martin XB10?
Keith
Thanks G, again very generous of you.
My offering now, hope its not been up before....
Keith
Concerning that Davis D-1-W data sheet noted above, the picture is of a Fairchild 22 rather than a Davis. Anyone remember the "Biplane" Davis at Old Rhinebeck? They used to taxi it around with the lower wings attached then drop them off prior to take off. "Flyiung Farmer" type act as i remember.
Norm
BG - yes thats the one, although I have it as the Curtiss Cox Cactus Kitten 2- Cox being a Racing pilot I believe.
Over to you sir,
Keith
Hi BG, I think this is the Bourgois-Senemaud 40.
