In the late twenties/early thirties any german city of some significance had a branch of such an academic organization....

Since this seems to be more difficult than I thought and I do not mean to block the forum any longer let me reveal the identity:
Akaflieg Aachen S9 . Unfortunately I couldn't gather any more data except her name.

Yep, the Fuchow/Shanghai (Naval Air Establishment/Aircraft Factory) Hsin Ning Hai, 'Hsin' meaning 'eight' as in design #8 for the navy, and 'Ning Hai' the name of the cruiser it was designed for.

    Hello everybody!
Somebody said that this ugly pic is the only available one of that particular Aircraft:

PS I mean the one in the background

Dang BG, you are on a roll. The front has a Nardi look to it but that gull wing? The fin flash is confusing too.

Hi Moses don't look at the front one but at the one on the far background and seek into eastern Europe!

    Hi Moses!
I don't want you to rack your brains any longer therefore I'm going to reveal our mystery Aircraft:
    Bulgarian D.A.R. 7 S.S.1 (samolet za svruzka) "KOLETKA" only one built in 1935 (C/N 46) driven by a D.H. Gipsy Major (130HP)...
That's all boys and girls now let's wait for the next mysterious item!
    Cheers

    Hi BG,
I guess the photo must be a mirror image if its got a Gipsy Major - the air intake is on the wrong side & the rotation of the prop seems wrong too!

    Hello everybody!
I remember I had that pic in my files (the stout lady is a real Landmark!).
It is the Kreutzer Air Coach K3 of 1929 a very fine airliner four (I believe) of which were built!
    Cheers
