It is indeed a Beaufighter, just off the top of my head it was an attempt to cure the directional instability of the early versions, leading to the (IIRC) dihedral tailplane.

I think there was a problem with the early Beau's, hence the later dihedral tail planes, but had not realized there was this experimental version.
    Anyhow, try this one.

Hmm it certainly looks Russian! They certainly have this fascination with multi-glazed noses...

Must be the Kamov AK (1943)

Let's step away from the veggie slicers. Here is a pleasing little sport plane of the early 1930's.

    Yes, it is German.

It does have an Albatros looking tail but it is not.

This outfit didn't produce many planes. They mostly built sub-assemblies for other larger companies like Messerschmitt etc.

Here are more views. No pants!

I'm pretty sure this is a Renard R.S.V. 22/230 "Titan" of 1929 from Belgium.

PS By the way quite a nice pic!

Incidentally, BG. I was nosing around Arezzo on Google Earth - came across a small airstrip with this tucked away in the corner. A Fiat G.91 ??? Maybe a little hobby of yours ??
