I'm sure a bit of the famous Deutsche grundlichkeit went into the design, but still.... One to Scotland!

Here's one that may have had a bit of grundlichkeit too.....(but not in Germany..) Rather a pleasing machine.
Hi Mike :salute:
Nice choice! Anyone daring to stick out the naked neck?
Time for hints, I think, Walter. (I liked yours, by the way - ) From a West European country, by a designer best known for sailplanes.
I think the hints are more confusing than the photo! :isadizzy:
Hi Kevin :salute:
Don`t give up so soon. The prettier examples of this family of birds are claimed to deliver babies and have neck feathers. (and how many German-speaking West European countries are there)
Found it thanks to the hints: the Markwalder Marabu from Switserland.

Indeed, Ferry. I fear you have a vault full of obscure horrors from the Flatlands........
Not really Mike, I think we've had most of those already.. So as a small hint: This one's neither Dutch nor is it from Belgium:

Not that ignorant, as you are quite correct on this one!

Thanks Ferry!
and here's my next offer for tonight:
Cheers

Had I not noticed the partial name on the fin I would have looked at the Breguet line first. I have this same photo labeled as a Amiot 122 BP3.
Thanks BG. Yes, it is a great photo for the time.
I recently unearthed a cache of rarities. This is one of them-
Obviously from the USA (those cheap suits and required hats are a giveaway). A one-off from the early 1930's.
I wonder if it ever saw a drawing board before being made?
Keith
Who knows! The company produced one other design, a low wing monoplane that looked vaguely like a Vultee V-1.
Edit: Here is an ad for the actual engine.
Okay, this is the Michigan TM-5. They also built the Dallas-Breese X which evolved into the Vultee V-1A (same designer).
"TM-5 1930 = 1pChwM; 120hp Dayton Bear. Engine was in a pod mounted atop the cabin. [8409] c/n 1. Reported scrapped and burned 9/3/30, reg cancelled 9/5/30"
Open board please.
Only a single-seater ? That explains why my searches were getting nowhere......
Didn't mean to scare everybody off!
Here is a rare color mystery from me-
Hmmm.
On this one, the engines are not distributed on the wings.
Krazy!
Ah, an aggy ! Always welcome. This one a twinny, only not really - the hidden extra Lycoming was only for powering the spray system.. The Distributor Wing DWI-1 from Kansas.
I wonder how many of these were built - Moses? Wout ?
Hi Mike :salute:
I think only this prototype (N361DW) was built.
You got it Mike! I think Dan knew this one as well.
Over to you.
