    Hi Wout,
I think it is an Argie, the Cicaré CH-3 Colibri.

And if so, open house please.

Okay, time to throw more logs on the fire. Here is a sizeable biplane...

  4. #8179
This one saw action as a heavy bomber in WWI. Five were built of this particular variant.

  5. #8180
It's an AEG GIVk, methinks. Took me a while before spotting the Balkenkreuz....... Prior to that, and your second post, I was looking for obscure variants of the Martin GMB.....

  6. #8181
Gosh, I didn't even see the cross on the top wing! Would have removed that.

to Mike on the captured AEG.

    I have to as well...
When I first saw the pic I knew it was familiar - my attention was drawn to the wings (and the crosses) but I didn't have the time to really dig.

Wish we had a "facepalm" smilie as I know know why it seemed so familiar - about 4 years ago I stood beside, walked around and photographed an AEG G.IV There are differences as it was one of the single-fin variants but that wing planform is the key

I'm getting close with some Vought exports but the struts are wrong. Maybe something license built by TNCA. Still looking...

    Good afternoon gentlemen!
I'm no good at choppers.....however my PC is working again after a malignant virus crept into it and now I only have to get acquainted with the new system (Windows 7) just installed.
    Cheers

    Hi Kevin :salute:
A Cessna it is. I understand this testbed in 1953 preceded the true CH-1 prototype. No idea whether it had an official designation.

    Rgr on testbed.

    Gone floatin'
