(trying to rid my mind of the image of the PB31).....
A nice parasol to ponder.

Indeed - and this nighthawk's off to bed now.......over to you sir.
It's in AFP vol II. (Aircraft of the Fighting Powers)
PM me and I'll mail you the scan.
Welcome to SOH Keith. You have come to the right spot to find info on a particular aircraft. The regulars here have some of the best aviation libraries around!
The mystery looks like a refugee from the SDASM archives. Blasted parasol.
Lefty, Thank you very much for the 3 view, I have copied & saved same from your post & it appears to be very clear, so I do not think I will need to bother you for a potentially better one, but I will PM you in case you have any more data on the beast - Dimensions, performance etc that is not on Wiki!
Moses03, Thank you for your greeting, I may well have to request data & info in the future. WIP is a Piston Provost & a U16 Meteor ( this has been going a long time....)
Regards
Keith
[edit] I keep referring to 'EYE - should be 'FFD - senior moment(s) too many recently!
Have sent you more (including a cutaway !) Big files, so be patient !
Mike
Thanks Mike, received with thanks. Big files not too much of a problem.
Keith
Hi all!
Lefty, Dev One, would you mind sharing those Petrel blueprints and cutaway with me too?
If OK, I'll PM my address. Thanks in advance!
As Lefty sent to me I think it should be his decision to forward onto you - &Co. I have obviously no objections.
Keith
No interest in the parasol or do you need me to throw you a Bone? American, circa 1929.
Fair enough....Bone-Golden Eagle Junior Pursuit. Open house.
Try this one - I don't have any other unusual ones!
Keith
Hmmm, looks like a racer. This is Moses country.
to me, it looks like its based on a m R.A.F. S.E. 5a
Yes it is a modified SE5A, but was given a model number by Dudley Watt - the DW1. It was at Brooklands about 1929 & my father was part of the team. Believe two built/modified. This registration G-EBOG.
Keith
Nice one, Keith - found a reference to it - Watt tired of it as the 300hp Hispano-Suiza couldn't give him enough performance ! He seems to have been a bit of a nutter - wrote off a plane after flying it 200 yards from the hangar to the fuel pump rather than taxiing !
They don't make 'em like that any more.......over to Dave, methinks.
One certainly gets the impression that he was a bit of a dare devil from the Flight write ups of the Bournemouth air races. He was also a Skywriter trailing smoke for advertising....
Keith
Here is one to ponder while we wait on Dave to resurface.
Senior Gonzalo is pointing out where the wing root should be...
A very early Spanish or Mexican Exocet?
Keith
Declaring Dave overdue (48hrs+) and possibly MIA this round.
Open board Gents-
Sorry for the delay guys!!
