In Moses' absence I can dare to put in another light aircraft - quite a smart one, methinks....

An extra wee nip to chase down your if you can tell me what sort of engine this has !

  2. #4027
on the Tellier. Figured you knew that one.

I like your pointy cruiser. Just waiting for Walter to spot it so we can move on. :d

  3. #4028
If I'm not mistaken that's a Wickner (Wicko) GM.1 Wizard with a Ford up front

  4. #4029
Yessir - A good ol' 85hp V8 ! and a wee Highland Park for my friend from Illinois.

  5. #4030
Thanks Mike! Here's a cute little bugger I ran across the other day......

  6. #4031
The RWD-11 in the background sure helped! This is the, wait for it..... Zalewski WZ-XII "Kogutek II"

  7. #4032
A cold one for you Kevin.

  8. #4033
    Thanks John.

This one was way ahead of it's time...or so it would seem.

It has a Junkery look to it (minus the corrugations) and I know Junkers played about with pivoting wingtip/ailerons, which presumably these are, but otherwise I'm getting nowhere at the moment. And that ridiculous rudder ....... ????

It has to be a home-made job - those exhaust stubs aren't even in a straight line !

  10. #4035
Not a Junkers design or from Germany although it was first tested with a German engine...

Here is a front view of the oddball.

  11. #4036
The designer was better known (a stretch!) for his design a few years later as part of a competition sponsored in the USA.

  12. #4037
Anything to do with Mr Burnelli ???/

  13. #4038
No, but you are on the right track.

  14. #4039
OK, is it the early Dare ?

  15. #4040
Yup, the Dare Monoplane of 1921. First powered by a Benz engine and later a Liberty. Over to you-

  16. #4041
    Thanks - it took a while.. Here's a floater.

  17. #4042
Has a German feel. Probably a Eastern Europe refugee!

  18. #4043
Rather depends how you define Europe.........

  19. #4044
Bogged down again. It's a Moskalyev SAM-11bis amphibian from 1940.

Here's a dashing fellow. Shame about his chin.

  22. #4047
Dewoitine D 27-III-R, to be precise, of the Swiss Air Force.

    Over to you, sir.

  23. #4048
That was easy for a french like me...

Here's a nice floater, wooden wonder...

  24. #4049
This looks like a d'Artois effort. Not sure at all though.

Being of a devious nature, I tried to read the lettering on the hangar, with what looks like a Cyrillic 'N', (i.e. Y.) After a fruitless trawl through the Russian books, had another thought.

Flipped the image mirror-wise, and - lo ! - it's MONO**** that comes up !

Which helps me not in the slightest.:isadizzy:
