Thread: The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

I actually thought I had posted it before but couldn't find it anywhere !

It is not German - on 'our' side. More or less.....

  2. #3877
Sorry, chaps, this is a bit obscure and there don't seem to be any references to it at all on this medium.
It is the Audenis C.2 from 1916.

Weary now, so open house, gentlemen....after you've named this easy one, that is......

  3. #3878
Now you are talking! This is the Loving-Wayne WR-2.

That Audenis is really obscure. No, I had not seen it before!

  4. #3879
All the Euromen are sawing logs at the moment. Lefty was nice enough to post a pusher so I will press on with a floater.

  5. #3880
BTW....the Audenis was featured on Breguet's Aircraft Challenge - #215. That's probably where you remember it from. Same pic.

  6. #3881
Maybe so John. I have trolled through some of those pics before. I thought the C.2 was from later on like the early 1920's though.

  7. #3882
Variant #2 had 4-bladed props (possibly remotored) and a redesign on the tail section. From a small firm.

  8. #3883
Didn't think this one would last so long. It's a S.P.C.A. 20 torpedo bomber.

    How about this big brute?

  9. #3884
Hmm, missed out on the French Floater - black mark on the Lefty escutcheon.

This unlovely beast is the 1st prototype Avro Ava, obviously not named after Miss Gardner....

  10. #3885
    A frosty mug for Mike.

  11. #3886
    Thank you sir.

    Another aquatic almost....

  12. #3887
The one and only Sikorsky XP2S-1.

  13. #3888
    Indeed, sir. Another push-me-pull-you.

    Still hot down there ????

  14. #3889
Thanks for the drink. Need it down here in the desert wasteland.

    Let's try something more modern...

  15. #3890
Blimey that's hot ! Hope the aircon is reliable.

I've seen this wee beastie before, but with a different tail arrangement. I suspect Wout can give us chapter and verse.

  16. #3891
OK, nobody else biting. This one is, of course, the Aвиа Аккорд from 1991-ish. Here's the original version which had Russian engines. They had to be replaced with Teledyne Continentals due to certification issues, and the aircraft became a 6-seater with beefed-up tail gear.

  17. #3892
    Looks like the one.

    Fire away Sir-

  18. #3893
Well here's one for the floater, canard and pusher fans...

Hi Mike! Nice one that floater of yours. Have no idea at all.
    PRC? Clue(s) would help

  20. #3895
PRC indeed - it flew with wheels also. I think there is really only one reference source to this one.

..and I guess that only source is in your hands?
    I pause for now.
    OK then, I

  22. #3897
New one for me as well....no clue.

  23. #3898
OK,this is the NUAA FT-300 made by the design department of Nanching University.

Right, here's another floater - or is it ?????

  24. #3899
Looks like the Hinkler Ibis from this view.

Also didn't have a clue on your canard pusher. Interesting design though!

  25. #3900
Thought this view of the Ibis might confuse - well spotted, sir.

Incidentally, the floater should have been Nanjing - never confuse your jing with your chang !
