    Rusty french my foot
I've done some further digging, and it seems (without guarantee, though) that these 'alerte' floatplanes were designed to patrol coastal waters nearing harbours to find out and drive off enemy submarines.

Read more HERE. Glad if it's of any help.

Actually Lefty, I neglected to photoshop out a very small clue....seek and ye shall find. :mixedsmi: I wouldn't focus too much attention on the landscape though.

Some kind of trainer with the Turkish Air Force?

  4. #2904
Turkey would be a good place to look - keen eye there Moses.

My rickety bucket of bolts has lasted far longer than I expected. Finding something that makes you guys scratch your head is a rarity indeed.

  6. #2906
White flag is up here. Don't know about the rest of the crew.

  7. #2907
So far have found about 500 aircraft wearing the crescent and star. But not this one. Please reveal all !

  8. #2908
You were searching for the Resit MMV-1 (prototype). Here's the later version (larger V.Stab, different cowling, etc.) - only 1 was built.

  9. #2909
    Next up.....

  10. #2910
Hmmmm, looked at the MMV and dismissed it because it looked totally different (tail especially). There you go.....

Now for this wee horror that doesn't look 'right' at all.

  11. #2911
    This the Cairns AG-4?

  12. #2912
On the mark Moses, the Model A or AG-4.
    Over to you Sir......

  13. #2913
    Thanks for the brew.

Been awhile since we had one that looked like this...

  14. #2914
On more familiar ground here - Romano R-120..

  15. #2915
Didn''t think it would last long. for Lefty.

  16. #2916
And this one will disappear even more quickly, methinks.

  17. #2917
Looks decent enough but didn't make the cut. The Loire 250.

Another one for the "quickie" bin?

Ah ha ! That one smoked you out, Ferry. F.K.33 it is, of course.

Tell me, did Mr Koolhoven start producing under his own name immediately after this ?

The last aircraft made by the N.V.I. was the F.K.34, also from 1925. From 1926 Koolhoven started to design and built aircraft under his own name.

    Here's another floater:

Laplan La-471 made in Russia. Possibly it was originally designed by Khrunichev as the T-471
