Only jesting, Kevin ! (Mind you, a father-and-son friends of mine are Scotland's leading bunny breeders/judges. They love rabbit pie !)

It is getting difficult to find anything that will last more than half-an-hour in this forum - let's try this one. For once I have managed to out-grain Moses03........

  2. #2827
I think I have uncovered the grainy mystery. Possibly the Kocherigin-Gurevich TSh-3?

  3. #2828
    That's the one..

  4. #2829
This bomber was way ahead of its time. Note how modern the fuselage/cabin area looks compared to the rest of the plane.

Sorry about the picture quality. Had to overlay a better photo of the middle section over the rest.

It's a new Texan parlour game.

You take three model kits, you throw all the bits on the floor, then everyone scrabbles for pieces to build an aeroplane...........

Looks like you got the Wright Flyer with a bit of Ju352 and a London taxi thrown in.......

  6. #2831
Neither an Uncle Sam, German or Brit it be...

Keep digging deep and soon you will see...

I must go now as the Sandman has visited me...

  8. #2833
I can only assume that Moses' subtle hints about digging deep mean that his mystery is either a Wallangoola Flyer from Oz or the legendary Waikato Wobbler from the North Island. Haven't a clue.

  9. #2834
No joy in Australia or Japan. When in doubt, head East...

  10. #2835
Don't recollect seeing it in any of my Polish books - no time to look this morning - back after the curling.

(Waikato is in New Zealand, by the way)

  11. #2836
Right. This one hails from the Prague area, the Stastik Dreadnought No. 1 of 1913.

The next one is a lot less obscure...

Oops on the geographic miscue. :redf:

Once I recognised Balbo it was quite easy; simply entered his name in google, went to see the images and found the same photo on page four or five, but with the name of the aircraft not editted out.

    Edit: Found this little monoplane:

Woops ! Put it down to old age - no booze on a Monday !

Right then - did I post this one before ???????

  21. #2846
I know this is a light aircraft, but sufficiently unusual to merit a mystery entry. It was specifically designed for use in less-than-smooth terrain, as the tyres (tires) will testify.

Dig those crazy flaps too - they are off a machine from a MUCH large manufacturer -there, I've given it away !!

    The Lawhorn LA-2 Keebird (N4775C).
The builder saved time by using Boeing (the manufacturer you hinted?) L-15 flaps and also much of the wings.

An easy one, an Islander look-a-like. However, it flew BEFORE the Islander did.
