    Stunning shots Thunderbolt!

    Yes Sir! FS 2004-12

    and dash twelve will see even more awesome developments - and while the original makers are trying to make a new one,

    our community are making a better job of it with the one they like best!

    My first screen shots for 2012. Beech Baron 58, wearing a really nice skin I found on Flightsim.com (made for the FS2002 Pro Baron 58, but works perfectly on the FS9 Baron). From Concrete Municipal to someplace (can't remember the name of the airport I flew to....a nice 48 minute flight). Weather via FS Metars.

    A few What The Heck? screen shots.

    First one is right out of the Steven King move, Langoliers. They ate the back half of my plane

    Attachment 55790

    While I was flying, I though I'd see what other planes were up in the air (using the Control W command, I think that's right). Saw these two C-172s flying in close formation. At first I thought it may be do to having a duplicated traffic.blg some place, but the call numbers were different on each plane and they had different paint schemes called. So, I guess it's just some close formation work for the Air Force now that they have had drastic budget cuts or something like that.

    Yes, TrackIR-enabled, we go back to some great oldies

    ...in this case, Milton's D18S, for which a very fine repaint by David Reed appeared recently.

    And if a picture is worth 1000 words, a video has 1000 pictures.
    I got carried away and did a "commercial" using Youtube's annotation tool.
    With head tracking, doing the VC thing on engine controls takes on new life.

    A USD10 "Baked Texture" whimsy.
    See the lamp glow on the wall, and highlights on the fridge door.
    FS9 is as big as your imagination will let you be.

    One of these days I'll need someone to explain to me what this baking of textures really is and maybe even how one goes about doing it.
    For now all I can say is it looks great...and the ultimate Stearman is certainly a treat.

    Cheers

    Stefan, Baking is Ambient Occlusion or as i put it "Natural Shadow"... i used it when creating the textures for Miltons Avia 51 internals, and for my HAS'...

    it's done inside 3DSMax or with a lot of trial and error in your texture editing program.....

    Thanks Matt...I will try to read up a bit more on that.

    The scenery looks a lot like the Rhine Mosel area in Germany...so maybe VFR Germany ???

    Where are the two airplanes found...the Robin looks a lot better than any I have seen....and I am still thinking on the first one as to what it really is. Zlin maybe ?

    Stefan

    PS ... If you have a web cam this software here promises to work as TrackIR without any additional hardware. I have not tried it yet.

    Hi UKVoodoo,
    I think this scenery is "VFR Jesenicko" available here: http://www.leteckemotory.cz/fs/jes/?en
    This is one of my favourite VFR scenrery, lots of details and still frame rate friendly!

    Zlin 43 is by 'PWDT' and can be found at www.flightsim.cz;
    the Robin DR400 is an fs2004 update by Eric Dantes of one originally created for Fs2002 by Yannick Lavigne and friends;
    should still be able to find it here ----->

    http://fousvolants.free.fr/Avion/Appareils.html#DR400

    with a couple more French repaints here ---> http://fousvolants.free.fr/Avion/Livrees.html

    The 'D' reg repaint is 'Thunderbolt's' own creation.
