Roger that. First flight is in the can. I usually don't start seeing things until the second or third flight. All I can say for now is - You're going to love this machine. Real Air has outdone themselves.

No surprises here.
Its just as you would expect. I have a mid range dual core setup and tweeked as such. First thing I noticed was the sounds. VERY well done. Interior is crisp and clean. I have thousands of hours in real world mid to heavy twins and have not had time to evaluate the flight model. I am really not into not nit picking anyways as FUN and a brief suspension of reality is all I am after. I just did a short flight with a few touch and goes. Plane is very easy to fly. Almost to easy especially when you have been flying the A2A warbirds. Performance again on my mid range system running a VERY high rez is good. Very good considering the graphics. I have a few bare bones freewares that suck up the fps so the coding done on the Duke must be top notch.
Only gripe and it might be my setup but the gps and other readouts are blurred and I must zoom in to read them.The 2nd pic below next post is how mine looks at 1920x1080

Beautiful! A little bit harder on the FPS than their last one (spit and Scout pack), but there's just more gauges and stuff. You can choose VC reflections on/off - I will get back to you on the sound, heres some pics
I do have one squawk but it may be covered in the manual I haven't read yet. The individual power levers are not individually selectable. The tool tips identify left and right, but moving one (mixture, prop or throttle), moves both. If anyone planning single engine ops, it may be difficult.
Later: Now I've read the manual - right drag to move one side or the other.
Oh, yeah - the sounds are wonderful. I'll let the screen shots above speak for themselves. My first landing was to a full stall, horn going off at the right time. Perfect.

Wow, wow, wow !!!!
I was a little concerned as I taxied towards take-off that the engines sounded a little wimpy. Well, that went away real quick when I advanced the throttles and the engine sounds came alive. Think I rattled the front windows a bit.
A small HU for anyone not using an external logbook editor. She logs flight hours as an "Amphibian" like A2A/Shockwave aircraft do. But it also means safely ditching the aircraft is allowed.

Go into the aircraft.cfg and go down to the 'contact points'

This is the best job of replicating engine out performance I've seen in flight sim. Pulling the levers with right mouse button drag is so intuitive and seems really natural. SE performance is lousy, just as it should be on a Duke. Really like the mouse drag for setting radios and HSI knobs too.
The Duke is right there with Digital's Cheyenne for me and I'm naturally biased towards the PT6 engines on the Cheyenne, but this is really well done.
Company I was flying for acquired a smaller outfit that had a Duke and all of us in the flight department were very happy that acquisition DIDN'T include the Duke. Didn't feel like we were nearly as safe in it as we were in our King Airs. Sure don't mind flying this one in FSX, though. Great job Real Air. :ernae:

A nice 2.8 hour flight from KRDU to KSWF (Stewert Intl). Beautiful aircraft, but I was expecting no less.
Enough time to check everything out while in cruise mode, but more to learn, like the cabin pressure...thought I had it correct before take-off, but my cabin pressure was at 3,400 at 15,000. Flew 'by the numbers' provided in the doc's, and hand flying the approach was smooth as silk. Rob is a magician with his models. Incredible how quiet everything gets once you get to cruise.
A bunch more frame rate hungry than most all the RealAir offerings, but again, smooth as silk. I simply shut the FR display off and enjoyed the ride. It really does not matter.
I believe I better plan an extended trip with this baby...and read the doc's more fully before the next flight :mixedsmi:
What can you say....worth the wait...
